It was very pleasant. It was clean and tidy, but the single bed in my children's room was dirty. There was no one available to receive us. I had to call. Nor was it said that the premises were closed at weekends, only that the restaurant and bar were closed. With the safety I had a bit of a problem. Anyone could enter the premises. There is no security, so anyone can go in and out without anyone knowing. I didn't feel so safe. I could not sleep with peace of mind knowing that our vehicle and my children who sleep in a separate room are safe all night.
The paths to the rooms are not wheelchair friendly at all. I struggled for half an hour to get my husband to our room. There are notices in the rooms that it is not 'self catering' and that we must use the restaurant. However, the restaurant and bar were then from Friday morning until Monday morning. We were there for 2 days and only got 3 packets of coffee and 6 packets of sugar, with no facilities to top up. There were also no staff available to help.
Everything was very good. Enjoyed it. Only the double beds we slept on were a bit on the hard side. Very "dense" mattress. Everything else was perfect.
Good value for money and restaurant food brilliant.
The stay was nice, the aircon did not work.
Employees can be more friendly with guests staying overnight. There was nothing on the booking page that breakfast was not included and that it had to be arranged in advance. The person was unfit with my husband when he couldn't rush back to the lodge fast enough in the rain with my child in the car to pay. For the amount they charge, one might think that a little bit of tact would also be visible. Extremely weak!!
