Lodge 103 can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, an upstairs loft room, 3 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The first bedroom contains 2 single beds that can be converted to a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath, a shower, toilet and twin washbasins. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds that can be converted to a king-size bed, and an open-plan en suite with a corner bath. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a dishwasher. The lounge offers comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels. The house has a large lapa with a built-in braai, as well as an outdoor fire pit and braai facility.
Sondela offers an on-site restaurant and bar, a farmyard coffee shop, a general dealer for basic necessities, communal swimming pools, a wildlife centre, and the on-site Iketla Wellness and Spa. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy including game drives, horse rides, bicycles for hire, a 4x4 obstacle course, and guided quad rides.

3 guests' feedbackJust a few suggestions. At the price paid. I would at least expect a braai grid that is not broken. I took pictures and will email. There is only a small frying pan. So for 6 people, breakfast takes forever on the 1 pan. There are only 2 large coffee mugs and 4 small ones, 2 porridge bowls and 4 small ones.
We had a wonderful stay in Makhato Lodge 103. The house is well located and Sondela is a lovely resort for parents with children. The house has everything you need and the outside braai area under the lapa is a bonus. The cleanliness and cleaning of the place just needs attention. The house needs a decent cleaning (especially the carpet in the TV room which is so full of dust that you only see dust when you step on it. A vacuum cleaner would be ideal). The linen is a bit old and needs to be replaced. Finally, the shower doors. From the guestbook we could notice that the 3 showers in the house's shower doors have been off for the last 3 years and nothing is being done about it. It's not very nice to shower and then the whole bathroom floor is soaking wet. If the owners pay attention to these few things it will be a TOP holiday home.
It's a beautiful quiet place to spend time with family. Animals come to visit and there are lots of activities at Sondela.
