Lodge 106 can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, an upstairs loft room, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining area and living room. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a shower, a toilet and twin washbasins. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and has use of an adjacent bathroom with a bath, a shower, a toilet and twin washbasins. There is also a third bathroom that contains a shower only, a toilet and a washbasin. The upstairs loft room contains 2 single beds and a lounge area, and opens to a balcony.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven and fridge-freezer, and also has a separate scullery. The lounge offers comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels. The dining area contains a built-in indoor braai and a 6-seater dining table and chairs. The dining area has stacker doors opening to the outdoors. The house also has its own boma with a fire pit.
Sondela offers an on-site restaurant and bar, a farmyard coffee shop, a general dealer for basic necessities, communal swimming pools, a wildlife centre, and the on-site Iketla Wellness and Spa. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy including game drives, horse rides, bicycles for hire, a 4x4 obstacle course, and guided quad rides.

1 guests' feedbackWe visited Makhato 106 for a weekend and would not recommend it at all. It's awfully expensive for what you get. There is only the minimum in the house. The kitchen in particular is terribly poorly equipped. We looked for the grill tongs on the first night of our visit and when we took them out of the drawer in the kitchen it was still dirty from previous people grilling. It was very disappointing.

No loud music is allowed, no moving of cutlery, crockery, bedding, etc is allowed to be moved between units as each unit has a different owner.
