Lodge 19 can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining area and living room. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds that can be converted to a king-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed and a shower en suite. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms, and in the living area.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and is fitted with a fridge-freezer, a stove and oven, microwave, kettle, and toaster. The dining area contains a 6-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge offers comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels.
The house has a lapa with a built-in braai, a washing up sink, and a 6-seater dining table and chairs. There is also a boma with a firepit. Double carport parking is provided.
Sondela offers an on-site restaurant and bar, a farmyard coffee shop, a general dealer for basic necessities, communal swimming pools, a wildlife centre, and the on-site Iketla Wellness and Spa. 2 guests' feedbackOur stay was very nice and we enjoyed the wildlife.
We inquired about clocking in earlier as we have small children who still sleep in the afternoon. However, they refused to allow us 12 hours in clock instead. 3 hours. But nevertheless, maybe they had guests the day before. The house is very well located and is excellently furnished with everything you will need. The lapa is delicious and the children enjoyed cycling. However, on Saturday night we had no hot water and we had to boil kettles to bathe the children. We sent the owner/agent a message and didn't hear back until Wednesday. The next morning there was hot water again. So I'm not sure if it's on a timer. We did enjoy the time in the house.
