Makhato Lodge 30 is a thatched self-catering bush lodge located in the Sondela Nature Reserve near Bela Bela. The Sondela Nature Reserve in the Limpopo province is a private game reserve just 150 km from Johannesburg, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the bushveld, encounters with zebra, kudu, impala and giraffe, or a spot of bird watching.

Lodge 30 can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, an upstairs loft bedroom, 3 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath and twin washbasins. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds and a shower en suite. The third bedroom is an upstairs and contains a queen-size bed and a shower en suite.

The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a fridge-freezer, stove and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a dishwasher. The dining area contains a 6-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains a flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels, and comfortable couches. The house has a separate lapa with a built-in braai and a 6-seater dining table and chairs. There is also a boma fire pit area.

Sondela offers an on-site restaurant and bar, a farmyard coffee shop, a general dealer for basic necessities, communal swimming pools, a wildlife centre, and the on-site Iketla Wellness and Spa. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy including game drives, horse rides, bicycles for hire, a 4x4 obstacle course, and guided quad rides.
