Lodge 83 can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, an upstairs loft room, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living room. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath, a shower, toilet, and twin washbasins. The second bedroom contains a king-size bed. The upstairs loft room contains 2 single beds. These 2 rooms share a bathroom with a shower, a bath, a toilet and a washbasin. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and is fitted with a stove and oven, microwave, kettle, dishwasher and a washing machine. The living area features comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels. The living area opens to an undercover patio with outdoor dining furniture and gas braai facilities.
The house has its own large separate boma with a firepit. The lodge also has its own waterhole that attracts various antelope species and birds. Covered carport parking is provided.
Sondela offers an on-site restaurant and bar, a farmyard coffee shop, a general dealer for basic necessities, communal swimming pools, a wildlife centre, and the on-site Iketla Wellness and Spa. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy including game drives, horse rides, bicycles for hire, a 4x4 obstacle course, and guided quad rides.

3 guests' feedbackAbsolutely perfect for a weekend. The house was very well stocked with everything that you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend.
The unit needs maintenance. There is only one working light in the boma area and the sink is clogged with water that cannot drain. The grills are rusted. The TVs in rooms don't work, it looks like you have to bring your own DSTV card, but no mention is made of that. The rooms are very tidy as are the bathrooms although the master bedroom's bathroom sink leaks and the water pools in the closet and behind the sink. The second room's headboard is also broken. There is more than enough crockery that is very nice. The dishwasher is a bonus, however there are no washing pads to use in the machine, it might be mentioned that you should bring your own. The outside parasol also does not work and does not engage when opened.
Makhato 83 is very nice, but a bit small for 6 guests although it can sleep 6.
