What a great place if you want to get away from the city. Unfortunately, the road there is a nightmare, but once you're there, it's tranquility itself. The self-catering facilities are top notch and the restaurant makes very good food.

We really enjoyed staying there. The food was exceptionally tasty and affordable. Had a great time around the fire and Delmarie was an excellent hostess. It was fun for us to feed the lambs and moose with her. Will definitely stay there again when we travel in that area.

Makoppas is a lovely place to stay overnight for travelers on their way to Botswana. Lovely shade trees and a beautiful river. Piles of braai wood and braai places for the self-catering people!

What a little paradise in the middle of nowhere. The place is more beautiful than pictures can describe. The owners are friendly and helpful and my husband was able to get his step in and I must have added 10 birds to my list although there are many more.
