2 qualms — we couldn't find a braai pan in the cottage and also struggled to open some of the shutters.
Loved the position and the ambiece of the stay. Good reflection the West Coast.

We had a great time with our children. Great accommodation and it had everything we needed for a lovely family weekend. Will definitely stay there again. Please take just notice of the following: The sink in the Master bedroom is leaking, as is the sink on the left in the kitchen. The container in the fridge for water doesn't work, it doesn't let the water through to the tap if you want to pour water on the outside of the fridge.
Our stay was great, the unit was exactly as advertised, clean, well appointed, everything in good and working condition. When we are in the area again, this will definitely be a consideration for our stay. The only negative was an attempted break-in at the unit next door. Security was very prompt, but one has to be aware of the problem and be alert and careful.
We stayed at Malmok for 13 nights and it was incredibly nice! We were 6 guests and the accommodation was more than adequate. Neat and clean and with everything you need. Thank you very much.

Paternoster remains a favourite, and we'll most certainly be back. We were quite let down that there was no hand soap in the bathrooms, and only two rolls of toilet paper (for five ladies) for the weekend. The dishwasher didn't have the correct detergents, so we weren't able to use it. Bedroom cupboards were filthy. The tv remote had dead batteries. The bed linen was lovely and clean, and good quality. If it's a budget-friendly weekend that you're after, and don't mind turning a blind eye to the finer details, then this is the place for you!
All that you get at home was there and more! Sufficient plugs for all types of electronic devices, safe, convenient, nice with heated towel rails and underfloor heating, washing machine and tumble dryer. Had such a great stay - didn't want to go home. Definitely recommend you.
Wonderful location, close to everything so you can walk. Verandah has a view of the beach. Quiet, as it's at a cul de sac.
Malmok exceeded our expectations. Modernly equipped and tidy. Perfect view from the porch where we could see fishing boats going out to sea. Plus point was not experiencing any power outages even though it was load shedding. Our stay in Paternoster was wonderful. Will definitely recommend the house to family and friends.

Sunny in the morning. Coffee on the porch with sea air. Nothing like it. Rainy next day. Kept warm et the inside fireplace. Stay was comfortable and great. Everything was at our disposal. Maybe some matting in the bedrooms as tile floor is cold.
Suggestions: An L-shaped sofa in the living room might be more comfortable. Loose, small blankets for cooler days. To sit in front of TV or on the porch. Don't want to take white duvets off beds. Shutters make houses dark, but don't feel comfortable leaving them open because windows are difficult to open and close (hooks don't work). Porch not very clean (sea moisture and ash from braai drying on porch and leaving a layer).

This cottage has everything you need and more! Everything is tidy and the devices are in good condition to use. Beautiful view and excellent braai facilities. We will definitely come again!
The porch is fantastic! We didn't need anything more. The house feels spacious and cozy. The three bedrooms are definitely a bonus and with teenagers the WiFi and Netflix were amazing. Only negative is the 10:00 check-out time, especially if there are no other guests coming in on the day. We will book Malmok again soon.
Already sent two of our friends the link so they can book Malmok. It was really an incredibly fun weekend. Malmok is excellently equipped and clean and tidy. Good quality linen and nice decor. Very central and you can literally walk everywhere. We enjoyed the veranda with its breathtaking sea view. Blessed. It does wonders for people's souls. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cute little place. Definitely come again. Paternoster is a picturesque fishing village along the West Coast with a unique atmosphere. Ideal for the people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Malmok has everything we needed with a lovely patio offering a view of the ocean. Within walking distance from the beach where you can pick up fresh fish as the boats come in.
The big bonus here is the slice of ocean view you get from the patio. We could see the fishermen launch their boats and, if you are so inclined, you can walk the 60m down to the beach and pick up fresh fish and crayfish as the boats come in (if you want, they'll clean the fish on the beach for you) - fresher you will not get! Though quite dark, the unit was well-appointed and cosy (we did not use the interior or exterior fireplaces). Parking was right next to the unit and the unit itself was very secure. Definitely worth recommending.
The unit is very well equipped with a beautiful view of the beach and the sea and is within walking distance of restaurants and the beach where we bought fresh lobster from the fishermen who were out early in the morning to catch lobster.

It was very nice but did let them know that there is a leak in the roof in the master bedroom, and that the guest bathroom shower spills a lot of water leaving huge puddles. But other than that it had been very nice.

Nicely located near the beach. Was good to see staff patrolling complex to make sure everyone is safe.
Brought a lot of improvement to the house, breaks well just different but enough, security well tightened, my third time in Malmok 9 and I see the improvement, I will definitely come again.
Malmok, the friendly town of Paternoster and two members of my family that celebrated their birthdays was all awesome. We will sure be back. The convenience of Malmok with air-conditioner, open spaces, all the utensils you need, a private braai area that is important for us, and the view, not to mention the security company and alarm system, made us feel safe in a very high crime area. Picking up keys and booking out, the deposit was paid back in no time ─ we must congratulate you on excellent service.
Very cosy, clean and wel furnished apartment in a nice area. Also what is very good for the traveler is the fact that they made provision for not leaving you in the dark during load shedding.
Very nice accommodation - well equipped. However, it is a problem to only be allowed to check in at very limited times - at a fairly tight rate, one would like to be able to check in anytime after 2 in the afternoon - not only from 2 to 4 on a Saturday. We had to cancel another appointment to meet the check-in time. Can more flexibility be considered?
We can't say it was truly a nice break. It's a cute little house, located near the beach and is very nicely furnished, but we will definitely not stay there again. The street behind the cottage is terribly busy at night. People make noise as they pass and 2 houses away from us there were people who played loud music and shouted, cursed, laughed and ranted on the porch until who knows what time. We reported it and there was even a neighborhood watch, but no one did anything about it. It was very unpleasant. It's very disappointing to pay so much money to rest by the sea and then you can't even do it.

Location is great, house has pretty much everything you need. Only thing I don't understand is that dish washing liquid was supplied, but not soap in the bathroom. That would really help.
There was stone throwing on the roof of our house four out of the seven nights we were there. It was a very bad experience. Especially feared for our vehicle.
Will never waste money in Paternoster and use Malmok again.

Wow! Our stay at Malmok was fantastic! The place was clean and tidy with everything you need in a kitchen from pots, pans, cups, etc. The fireplace and underfloor heating was definitely a winner in the evening! The Paternoster bug has bitten us, will definitely return!
We loved the house and the owner has gone to a large amount of trouble to make it sumptuous and safe. We did find however that we felt quite harassed by people asking for money or trying to sell us things.
Malmok is well furnished with all necessary kitchen equipment as well as lovely linen and towels in the rooms. The security alarm was also just that extra bit of effort that makes all the difference and a good impression! We enjoyed the beautiful view from the porch and made the most of the large fireplace and lovely oven every evening. Thanks Malmok!
The cottage is well furnished with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. It's just a shame all the windows have to be closed all the time to keep the crime away. Feeling so small a bit caged because of that, but not Malmok's fault! We will definitely visit again!
The only negative was that the staff at Stay in Paternoster were very busy so they were not very friendly. As for Malmok: extremely pleasant stay!
There were only a few minor things that bothered: The master bedroom door was grinding underneath, making a lot of noise when opening and closing. The sink in the large bathroom has a crack and a few other small things. Despite this, we would still recommend the place and want to go there again ourselves. Would love to meet the owners and congratulate them on the excellence of the place!
Beautiful place! There were 6 of us and there was more than enough space for all of us. Will definitely go back again!

Key- and breakage deposit:
Key- and breakage deposit is payable with the deposit for the booking and refundable by bank transfer within 5 - 7 working days after departure, once the house has been scrutinised and all found in order. Please note that the key deposit will be retained and additional charges imposed if more guests than booked are found to be utilising the premises. Please furnish us with your banking details on arrival. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances unless the key and breakage deposit has been received.
Minimum stay required:
2 nights in low and mid-season
3 nights over long weekends
4 nights over Easter weekend
7 nights in high season
Guests must first visit our offices to check in and get their keys.
