We had a very nice stay and relaxed. The house and apartment have everything one needs. We will definitely stay at the accommodation again. Very close to the fishing waters and the view is peaceful. There is enough parking for everyone's vehicles.
Charming, tastefully decorated home with very comfortable beds.
Everything was super, we enjoyed it a lot, except for the pool that needed maintenance.
Wonderful time.
Rather also inform the guests to bring toilet paper, since the shops are far if you don't have a car. We had to ask the neighbours to assist us. Also suggest that all Uber/Bolts work that side, because we couldn't move that much due to the fact that we don't have transport.
Nice place with all the basics, very good for fishing, relaxing and family breakaway.
This is my third stay at Maloney's Spot and will definitely be returning.
I miss the place already.

A gorgeously decorated and perfectly equipped weekend getaway home on the banks of the Vaal Dam. Perfect for a group of friends, or family (including cottage on the premises for the in-laws) complete with swimming pool and great braai area. Really and truly a beautiful spot at an affordable price. Will be back asap.
Awesome place. Value for money. Spacious and great for fishing. Dogs allowed which is fantastic and lots of place for them to run and go for walks. Small dogs can fit through the fence though, but a very worthwhile stay and close to home.
Very nice family house and apartment - very well located with a view of the dam. Well equipped, swimming pool was unfortunately not clean on arrival, in January you look for it, owner did sort it out immediately.
Dirty pool. Old food in microwave. Low maintenance of house. Old popcorn stuck in couch. Spiderwebs and dust.
This place is perfect for a weekend away or a holiday. The facility is spotless. The house has everything you need. It's equipped with all the cutlery etc. you'd require. It's so peaceful, quiet and has the most beautiful view of the Vaal Dam. Would recommend it as 5 stars. Owners are friendly and so helpful. It's a short distance from Johannesburg and Meyerton.
This place offers all that one needs in terms of value for money and peace of mind.
We absolutely love this house and it is our second time we have been there. The house and pool is in need of some definite maintenance and TLC, which I will email the owners about. But other than that it is a lovely weekend away and we will definitely be back.

This place was the best getaway, with the owners going out of their way to ensure your time is enjoyable. Without a doubt I would recommend this heartland.
Really enjoyed our stay, plenty space for everyone plus all the children, all beds had electric blankets, so we were nice and warm on the cold evenings. Suzette was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. Fishing was loads of fun and plentiful.
The owner Suzette Maloney is very friendly and understanding. Excellent service. The place is in top condition. From comfortable beds to an all around neat premises. One thing that would make the place even better is if the cottage had an air conditioner.
Maloney's Spot is ideal for a large group of people. About 10 to 12 people can stay there. The house is very neat and well equipped. It gets very cold along the river in winter and would recommend plenty of warm clothes and bedding. It is blissful and the view of the river exceptional. We will visit Maloney's Spot again in the summer.
Very pleasant owners. Perfectly located. Fully equipped with beautiful furniture and decor.
