House rules

Tenants are limited to 2 vehicles per dwelling unit. Extra vehicles must be parked on carpark opposite the resort. Park vehicles only in the designated parking area for the dwelling unit you are occupying. Do not park on roads or in front of other dwellings.

No caravans, boats or trailers may be parked in Mare Nostrum without prior consent. Please advise your landlord before arriving if you intend entering the resort with such vehicles.

The number of occupants in each dwelling unit may not exceed the number of available beds and bedrooms.

Students/scholars must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Loud music and noise which may disturb neighbours, will not be tolerated. No loud music or excessive noise is permitted between 22h00 until 08h00 from Mondays to Saturdays and from 12h00 on Sundays until 08h00 Monday.

Make fires only in designated braai’s and extinguish the fire immediately after use. This is a high fire risk area and all precautions must be taken to avoid bush fires.

Collecting firewood from the natural bush is prohibited and transgressors will be prosecuted.

Laundry, beach towels, bedding, bath mats, etc may not be hung out in front of dwelling units, over railings, balconies and decks.

Tenants, visitors and guests are not permitted to bring any pets onto the premises.

No drones or any remote-controlled devices may be operated on the premises.

Mare Nostrum is located in a rural area where disruption to electricity, water, telephone and Wi-Fi services occur frequently. This is usually a problem affecting the entire Keurbooms area and not limited to Mare Nostrum.
