We had a fantastic weekend at the Marico River Game Lodge. The house is perfectly furnished and has everything you could need for a weekend getaway. I would definitely recommend the Marico River Game Lodge to people who especially love boating, skiing and tubing as well as fishing.
We enjoyed it so much at Marico River Game Lodge, that we have already started making plans about when we can all visit there again!
Beautiful place, tidy and everything you need. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.
This is an awesome place to go and relax, it is clean, tidy and very peaceful. You sit on your porch and the game comes to eat a few meters from you. It's whether you can become human again in the tranquility. Owners are so hospitable and friendly. I definitely recommend the place. All you need to take with you is just your food and clothes.

It was a lovely, peaceful weekend between the wonderful woodland trees and over the Koppie, with a beautiful view. We saw many different birds and some herds of game. Would go there again anytime. The Koppie house is very well furnished.
Nice and quiet and safe, children can fish from early in the morning until late at night. Enough sleeping space and comfortable too.

Lovely, luxurious, very spacious, modern thatched house with 2 beautiful rooms with bathrooms. We really enjoyed the spacious, open living area with the very nice view over the forest. Anlise was a wonderful hostess. Everything in the beautiful kitchen was particularly well equipped. A top spot for anyone who likes luxury accommodation.
Very nice and quiet. I could see the roe deer walking by in the evening as well as a nyala near the house when I arrived. The owners are very hospitable.

The lodge is easily accessible from the main road. Our room was clean, with clean linen and had an aircon. The kitchen is well equipped with all crockery and cutlery and pots and pans.

This was our second time at the Koppie Lodge and once again we were not disappointed. Neat, clean place to stay with everything you need, including a Jacuzzi on the veranda where we could take in the tranquility of the forest. Friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful farm with game. It's definitely one of our favorite getaways when the hustle and bustle of the city gets too much.

A lovely short escape.
A convenient distance from Johannesburg and the road there is good. The beautiful house is clean, comfortable and very private. The spacious porch has a wonderful view of the valley and the feeding area created near the house ensures that one can see the wildlife without even leaving the porch. The owners/staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there were problems with the Jacuzzi and despite the owners/staff's efforts to fix it we spent the weekend with a cold Jacuzzi, but it certainly didn't spoil our weekend. The accommodation definitely made our favorites list and we look forward to resting there again, hopefully next time with a hot Jacuzzi.

It is very nice and private and beautiful woodland, the house is very nice and everything works well. Just take lots of ice there is no fridge.
Even on the way from Johannesburg to the destination, you start to get the feeling that you are in for a cremation and that you are heading straight for a weekend of relaxation and silence between bushveld and green covered distances. At the lodge itself you are greeted with very friendly hosts and you immediately feel that you have arrived, the lodge itself is on a hill "Koppie Lodge" and is barely visible from the dirt road which is a long way into the farm. Lovely silence. The place was built and laid out for people, people who can rediscover each other with a view that one can call "a view to die for". It was one of our best getaway weekends, thank you Anton and Anlize!
Everything in room, kitchen and bathroom very nice. It's very peaceful with the animals around you. Reception was warm and made you feel at home. Would definitely recommend if you just need some quiet time away from the city noise. Unfortunately nothing for kids to do if you take them along. Furthermore, the best place to have a good rest. Will go again.

What a pleasant surprise when we checked in. Koppie Lodge is much more than we expected. Nice big, modern, clean with everything one needs. You are in the middle of the forest and do not hear or see other people. Very nice view of the forest. Unfortunately didn't have time to go on a game drive, but there was a lot of game that we could see from our braai place. I would go there again anytime.

The host made us feel at home and had gone an extra mile to make our stay comfortable.
Karen received us kindly and took us to our accommodation where she quickly took us through the house. The Koppie Lodge was spacious, neat, clean and well equipped. Both rooms and a nice view of the farm and the stoep are delightfully cool from where you can look for kilometers. The braai place between the trees where you can make a nice big fire is a bonus with the accommodation.
