The hotel exceeded all expectations. The fact that there was secure parking is a very big plus. Would recommend to anyone.
When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by this Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. It was quiet and peaceful. We felt safe. The food at their restaurant was delicious. I can't think of anything bad with our stay there. I would definitely recommend this Hotel.
Wall plugs are a big problem. Poor condition. Bedside lamps did not work. Good hotel food. Brought it to the attention of management.
A beautiful hotel in the small city. The aircon wasn't working in our original booking of a 4-sleeper room. The very friendly receptionist gave us 2 rooms at the back of the hotel. It was very clean and ideal for a stopover to Windhoek or Walvis Bay. Very pleasant staff and good food during dinner and breakfast.
No. The room door was half broken as the wood was not maintained. I found hair from previous guests on the bedding. The kettle was dirty on top. The blinds in the bathroom were broken. Sorry, but it was not a good overnight stay here at all.

The staff at Marienthal go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible, but unfortunately the same cannot be said of the owner. The same staff, 3 people in total, handle absolutely everything, from reception to cooks in the kitchen to waiters, so if an order gets wrong one can completely understand it, because there are too few people for the amount booked and already paid guests. But despite that, and the owner also being aware of all the guests at the hotel, and in the midst of power outages, the person will take the hotel's generator home for personal use which only puts more unnecessary pressure on the staff. My mouth hangs open because this selfish action by the owner, but again it can certainly be understood, because they have already been paid.
When we arrived, the hotel was completely locked up. Eventually, someone came to the door and let us in. They seemed to either have forgotten about our booking. Namibia is in lockdown, so things may have gone awry due to this. Nonetheless, we had a very comfortable stay, the hotel is clean and although they couldn't provide dinner, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and made sure we got our included breakfast the following morning.
Mariental Hotel is a little gem after a long day's travel. The food at the restaurant was also particularly tasty. Will definitely stay there again.

The newer rooms were nice but we were in the old section and our room was shocking, although it was clean. There was bad mould on the walls, and the ceiling and wall paint was peeling. We were a large group and they were very short staffed so dinner took over two hours after we ordered. The staff was friendly and did try very hard but were not well trained and obviously out of their depth.

We stayed there the Sunday night. We arrived early the Sunday afternoon while they were still getting the rooms ready. Despite that, the staff went out of their way yo receive us and make us feel comfortable. The room was very neat and comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was delicious.
It was absolutely value for money very comfortable.
It is well located, excellent service, especially the receptionist. The manager is new and she made us feel at home and helped us throughout. The food was amazing!
Food was delicious and hotel looks nice inside, rooms are clean and tidy, only air conditioning of rooms is poor.
Mariental Hotel was comfortable. On arrival there was no note at reception that we had discussed whether to check in that day. There is not good ventilation in the rooms, in the unit we were in there was only one window. Besides that, the staff is very friendly, the hotel is beautiful and clean and breakfast is delicious.
