I would definitely recommend Marietjies Gastehuis to anyone. It's so peaceful there and the people are always friendly.
The guest house is very neat and clean. You have everything you need to stay comfortably in a B&B. We got toast in the room which was very nice! The people are all very friendly and helpful. The aircon in the room is a big positive with the severe heat of the area. What the accommodation can do to make it a little more comfortable is to provide sufficient power points. You have to unplug the fridge to use the kettle and then remember to plug it back in. It would also be comfortable if there is a power point by the bed to charge your phone and maybe a bedside light too because you have to get up to turn off the room light and then it's dark in the room.
The owner is very helpful and provides excellent service for that overnight rest.
Service was excellent. Breakfast very tasty and the rooms with air conditioning so relaxing.
This is not fancy accommodation, but it is 'ordentlik'. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. There is air-con, which is an absolute God-send in this area. The WiFi is not too strong and could do with some improving. Nonetheless, Marietjie's Place is as good as one is going to get in Ulundi. Extra points for the cleaner that spontaneously did my washing - I really appreciated it!
I really enjoyed my stay at this place. I will recommend this place to my friends. The place was really neat and the breakfast was delicious, everything was on point.
Hennie and Marietjie were very hospitable and the rooms were nice and clean. But because the geysers and pipes making so much noise every 30 minutes we couldn't sleep at all.
