Boardwalk to walk along the beach is right across the street from the accommodation. 10-minute walk to a shopping centre.
Our stay was amazing, the location of the place was very convenient, close to the beach and convenient stores. Waking up to the breath of fresh air, sea breeze, and the sound of the beach was the highlight of our stay.
As always, super helpful check-in service with loads of good advice from the host. Loved the recommendation for Charlie's restaurant nearby. We will be back next year and stay in the exactly the same place.

The stay was wonderful. The accommodation was perfect for our requirements, centrally located and close to the beach.
This is our 3rd time staying here and we are, as with the previous times, very satisfied. The unit is spacious, clean, tidy and fully equipped. The windows have burglar bars and the sliding door has a security gate. We were received very kindly, the hostess is very friendly and helpful. This is our 1st choice for accommodation in Port Elizabeth.

Location is excellent, nice big fridge. Linen and towels are shabby. Lights do not wake up in bedroom. Curtain falls from rail. Bad smell in apartment. Parking not safe according to us.
We were extremely disappointed with the quality of the apartment: concrete floor throughout the apartment with cracks and peeling paint (our garage at home is in a better state), stained walls, 2 creepy and rotten bathrooms, an ancient stove that only partially works, minimal kitchen furnishings and crockery, e.g. no 4 identical wine glasses, cheapest equipment in the apartment like refurbished but very strongly used and uncomfortable sofas, cheap lamps, ugly wall decoration, as a dining table just a bar table with three bar stools (for 4 people!). When it rains, it drips from the ceiling (be careful not to leave electronic devices on the table, otherwise you can throw them away!). The WiFi is so slow that the films on Netflix have to be interrupted and re-booted over and over. And obviously so was the use of the internet. The “garden” is also the parking space for various cars. All in all: a total disappointment. And all of this for R93105 for 2 months or 63 nights (= R1478 per day)! Everything paid well in advance. Yes, it looked good on the pictures, thank you! During these two months, we saw apartments with friends that were significantly larger, and perfectly equipped: modern kitchen with dishwasher, beautiful crockery, large bedrooms with carpeted floors, 2 modern bathrooms plus an additional guest toilet, stone slab floors, the whole apartment beautifully furnished, great pictures on the walls, beautiful lamps, a regular dining table with four chairs, a living room with good (and not run-down) sofas. A very nice garden with a pool and a lockable garage for two cars. The price of all of this: a little over half of what we paid! Everyone who saw our apartment said: they have really ripped you off!

The property is advertised as an 8 sleeper with 3 bedrooms, but on arrival we found out it has only 2 bedrooms with a sleeper couch in the lounge. We were 3 couples and there was no privacy for the third couple.

It's a bit disappointing as the taps don't work well, the shower's drain water has trouble draining, the bathroom's bath plugs don't work, taps don't work, the kitchen sink's faucet leaks terribly and water comes out when you tap it in the sink. The place needs a lot of work, the room leaked when it rained and my father's side of the bed got wet. I think we are paying an unbelievable amount and the place is in such bad condition.
Maybe the maintenance update is due soon. Cleaners need to be more conscious of hygiene standards. The hostess had to call Nomsa to clean the fridge.
Marine Drive 49 have everything and more to make your holiday one to remember. See view great, and within walking distance to a swimming and surfing beach. Will highly recommend it!

Neat unit, ideal for a stopover if you want to get to the airport quickly.
The key box outside the gate, where one can leave the keys when leaving early, does not lock so leaving keys with gate remote is risky. Bathroom needs some repairs with the paint bubbling as a result of moisture damage, and layer of paint thereafter. Outside wall needs repair too. Otherwise a comfortable room.
Room was neat. Just a low wall around. Guest house on the street. Conveniently located, but felt unsafe outside the unit.
Suggestions that were noticed. Roof tiles need to be fixed so that they do not lift and make noise when the wind blows, many roof tiles are broken off in pieces that come over the porch - shower wall needs a sanding and paint - room fan is badly rusted - room will also be painted soon - linen is old and has stains on - bed carpet can be replaced, is very old. Towels are old and washed out - kitchen drawers and cutlery were dirty. Lock holder with code at gate where key should be left is so broken, key could not be left there.

It was a very nice unit for us as a family of 4. It is by the sea, with a beautiful deck and walking paths all along the sea. Joggers will really enjoy the surroundings. Ideally located and close to restaurants.

We only needed a place to sleep for 1 night. Mareliesh spoiled us with fresh juice, milk and bottled water in the fridge. There were enough towels and the place was very clean and nicely modernly equipped. The only little thing that might get some attention is the heat? There is a standing fan, but I think air conditioning would be fantastic! Late afternoon (Saturday) cars also made a lot of noise with horns, but during the night it was quiet.

We found the stay very special. It was incredibly comfortable and very convenient, extremely clean and tidy. The people were exceptionally friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The place is located with a scenic view overlooking the sea. The sea breeze often blows in through the large windows and the white of the linen gives a clean and welcome feeling. The parking was secure and it was a lovely experience away from home.
Upon arrival we did not find the unit we booked. The unit needs attention and dirt can be removed daily.

Bed is hard, but they put up a mattress topper especially for me. It's lovely with the beach across the road and the beautiful walking route. It's safe and quiet, very comfortable for two people.
