Just a minute's walk from Hermanus' breathtaking coastal/cliff walk and close enough to the town center with all its activities, but away from the hustle and bustle. Marietjie is a very friendly, considerate hostess - thank you very much!
Extremely comfortable and tidy self-catering unit very close to the Hermanus CBD.

Very enjoyable stay. Beds were comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet despite being so centrally located. Close to town but tucked away in a small street. Passers-by can partially see into the unit, front door blinds need to be turned down for full privacy. Nice big shower and spacious bathroom. Will definitely come stay again.

My teenage daughter and I stayed overnight at Marine View for a squash tournament. It was perfect accommodation for our needs. The hostess was very kind and friendly and made an effort to welcome us. There was everything we needed. I might just put a slightly bigger garbage can in the kitchen for guests staying more than one night and a small drying rack in the kitchenette would be helpful. The unit is also very well equipped with comfortable beds, furniture, bathroom, bedding, power points etc. and just a stone's throw from the coastal walk just across the road. We will definitely stay there again if my daughter has a tournament there again.

Excellent location for those who want to explore the area on foot. Close to restaurants and by the sea. Cozy, safe and beautiful accommodation. Own little garden with chairs and table to sit outside. Safe parking for your car. Will go again for sure.

So close to Ficks pools and town. Nice walking distance from central town. Car can stay parked. Hear and smell the sea. Lovely beds and shower and enough viewing pleasure on the television if you want to rest your walking feet.

Spent two weeks here and the location couldn't be better, walking distance to everything. Would just like a door for the bathroom. Kitchen is sufficient for a weekend visit, but for longer visits it is a bit small and you can only heat food here.
Close to everything, only the necessary in room, everything clean and reception and service were great.
Keep returning to Marine View as it offers all we need.

The unit is excellently located. It is by the sea as well as the hiking trails that wind down the coast. It is also within walking distance of the central part of town where there are a variety of restaurants and shops. The place is also fully equipped.

We really enjoyed the location and the closeness of the sea. The place had everything you needed, fridge, microwave, and modern Samsung Smart TV. The place was clean and very comfortable. The outdoor sitting area with the chairs and table was also a nice touch.

As a registered tourist guide I would recommend Marine View with the greatest pleasure. The only reasons that deprive Marine View of a 10/10 points are 3 aspects that the owner can change: Covering over the porch in front so that guests can also enjoy refreshments there in the afternoon - an umbrella will suffice. A two-slice toaster to justify breakfast, and a one-plate stove for that eggs-and-bacon breakfast. Keep in mind that travelers cannot always afford 3 meals a day.

We have no complaints, we had a great time and didn't feel like the hostess was watching us all the time. I can recommend the accommodation. The kitchen is only for heating food I would not recommend it for long term stay. Eating out every day can get expensive and my husband really wanted to grill some meat. Chairs in room are beautiful but uncomfortable. Mop/broom, larger bin recommended. Outdoor grilling will also help a lot even if it's just dish grilling. Perhaps provide two wine glasses. Would also have preferred the option of a double bed.
Front door swollen and could not close and lock properly. Bathroom and toilet have no door. No luggage rack. Bags on floor very inconvenient.
