We were welcomed with open arms as we checked in very early in the morning. It is very quiet and peaceful. All the necessary requirements were provided. Beautiful, clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Thank you we enjoyed it a lot.
Very friendly reception. Room was very clean and tidy had a choice of a shower or bath. Breakfast was exquisite and delicious. Was rested and refreshed and was able to tackle the long road again. It is definitely a worthwhile overnight facility.
I was concerned about the safety aspect. The windows did not have burglar bars and there was only a sliding door to the outside. The room was well equipped, neat and clean (however, the toilet was not cleaned when the room was serviced). Communication with the owner was good. Reception was good, but the person was absent when I left after I asked her to be there when I left (7:30 am). The room is not soundproof and I could clearly hear what the persons in the neighboring room (beyond a closed intermediate door) were doing and talking. It didn't bother me, but I was aware that they could hear me too and it bothered me. Also, on the second night at exactly midnight, a cat outside my room kept complaining!

We loved staying here. And our host Andries could not have been friendlier or more obliging. Nothing was too much trouble for him and this included making breakfast for me in two shifts as it were. Cereal at 05:15 then when I returned from my road race, the rest of a delicious breakfast at 09:30! Thank you Andries, what a lovely quiet and peaceful stay. The room was comfortable and more than met our needs.

We stayed in Bull and Hill, very neat and clean, parking very close and safe. Bed could have just had a top sheet on it and breakfast could have been better.
Very personal reception by manager. Friendly and helpful service. Just be aware that the Rutland- en Alicedale Units open up to the breakfast area and share a fridge in this area. Breakfast time can be somewhat noisy if you're still in the unit. Rather confirm beforehand that the unit you booked will be allocated to you - We booked Bull Hill (bath and shower with private veranda), but got Rutland (only shower), while other guests got Bull Hill. The manager reacted well to problems that were reported.

We actually wanted to book a few more days, but on the last night the landlady said at just after nine that my mother had to go into the room, she was bothering the neighbours' dogs. My mother was just sitting outside. Furthermore, it was nice and the breakfast was nice.

With our booking request a specific room. Unfortunately we did not get the room requested, while others the other two rooms (which in our opinion are better) were unoccupied.
