The lodge is set in a beautiful bush location. The accommodation was neat and clean. We had a lot of additional last-minute requirements and all the staff were very accommodating. Meals were tasty and adequate.

We had a relaxing stay, a good break from city life.
Absolutely beautiful. Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The only problem is the dirt road, which is not mentioned on their listing and was a bit challenging for smaller cars. We also had one family member on a bike, which he dropped in the very soft sand.
It was a great recharge getaway. I will highly recommend it for a group retreat; they have the best hiking trails with breathtaking views. I loved that there are no TVs where we booked (unit), which gives one time with family. I will also recommend they put more containers (food), especially because we opted for self-catering (there were not enough containers for our food preparations).
We had a great time. Everything was very nice. The pool was a bit dirty and could have been cleaner. The table tennis area was also very dirty and needs cleaning. We were not aware of the long dirt road. Perhaps more emphasis should be placed on the fact that there is a long dirt road for the people who have a car and not a bakkie.
The reception by Lizelle was very warm and she quickly brought us up to date on everything. The grounds and buildings were neatly maintained and clean. Even though it was winter, June, we slept nice and warm. The environment in which the lodge is located is picturesque. Definitely recommend. Just advertise more widely.

It was a very good experience. I just wasn't aware that there was a little corner where you could buy extra stuff. Other than that it was a very good experience. The service at reception was very friendly and professional. I will definitely use the place again.
Really enjoyed the stay.
Our stay was not great. Our unit was not cleaned, even though the cleaning service was on site. Meals had to be pre-ordered. Food wasn't good, over cooked and very salty. Had an upset stomach that entire night. The beds were also very bad, had to sleep on the sofa, just to get a good night's sleep.
The service was excellent. The nature is wonderful and we really felt so welcome. It was really very nice, if I could I would recommend anyone to visit there.

From the moment of arrival, Natasha made us feel welcome, took us around the resort herself to show where is what, you don't get that at other resorts. The silence is exactly what one's soul is looking for and the "Pinnacle" is breathtakingly beautiful. Markon River Lodge see us again for sure.
Everything was great except that the fridge had a smell because blood had collected behind the fridge when cleaning the fridge. As well as we have been waiting three weeks for the deposit to be refunded. The dirt road on the way to the place should preferably not be ventured with a car. Vans and 4x4s will be fine.
Much like a two star lodge at best, however the price charged is for more upmarket accommodation. Lodge needs a bit more attention to detail.
Bedding is old. Unit overlooked an electrical transformer. "High speed" WiFi did not work. The road that turns off from the Groblersdal asphalt road to Markon is very poor, no mention of it on the website.
Very beautiful place, hard to find and not easy to get in! Kind and helpful staff. Nice chalet with excellent bed. Kitchen is a bit small.
Hosting a conference and still trying to make it enjoyable for a large group of people, really requires original thinking and unique places. Luiperdskloof managed not only to be the ideal place for a conference, but also a place where the whole group could relax and forget about the hustle and bustle outside. We created new memories, forged friendships and enjoyed every moment. From the first moment, all the staff were helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Make a point of taking a game drive and going to the Pinnacle.
This is a good quality family getaway for people with young children. We stayed in the Old Farm House and were intrigued by the original layout of the farm house. The giant porch overlooking the Wilger River was my favourite place to be. The staff was amazing, friendly and always willing to help. My son of 20 months really enjoyed all the activities such as visiting the animals, walking the trails and playing in the rock pools at the Pinnacle.
Customer service was great. Might just pay attention to walkway lighting. It's quite dark in the evening and mats for the showers prevent you from slipping. Otherwise, we visited a lot of lay people. Ephraim, our waiter for the weekend, was great.
Really enjoyed it, nice view, peaceful and the team was always ready to help with whatever we needed. Will definitely visit again.

The lodge was quiet as our stay was during the week, so it was nice and tranquil. We stayed in the Kingfisher unit which was nicely situated close to the river and away from the other units. The unit was well equipped with everything we needed for Self Catering. The only negatives were that there was no Fan in the room, and it was very hot. Sleeping with the windows open was a challenge as well as the flyscreens in front of the windows were torn or were not working they way they should. There were also Bats in the roof above the bedroom which were making quite a bit of noise. The bats didn't make things dirty inside though.
Everything was very nice, but a small cafe that offers the necessary will be good. The house we stayed in needs a lot of attention and is not very clean. Kitchen equipment is of extremely poor quality.
Pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff. The game farm is very clean and safe. The rooms are very clean and neatly equipped. Really enjoyed our time there. Everyone went out of their way to make our accommodation as comfortable as possible and planned everything around us. The restaurant's food was very good. Can definitely upgrade to a 5 star establishment. Thank you for the friendly and lovely hospitable area.
We lived in the old farmhouse and really enjoyed the "old fashioned" feel of the AGA stove, fireplace and large porch. So sorry it was only for one night. Next time we would like to see the place in late summer, early autumn.
The only let down is the location, as roads to the resorts are bad and not indicated on the website. Travel time to the lodge is at least hour longer than indicated on website.
