Rooms don't have power points within easy reach, had to get under a table to charge my cell phone.
Neat and clean place.
The room was squeaky clean as was the bathroom. The bar area and lapa were clean and neat. The pool was not blue, like the marketing photo, it was discoloured and murky, which was disappointing as it was an incredibly hot afternoon but the pool did not look inviting to swim in. The staff member behind the bar was friendly and bubbly and made me feel welcome. My room had no tea bags, just coffee and cremora sachets. Surely there should be a check for basics before your guest arrives? The WiFi kept kicking out even when there was no load shedding. As for the cremora sachets, I am sure given the price point which was room only, just a 250ml packet of long life milk would not cost much and given my extensive travels at similar price points, it's the little touches that make the difference and make you feel comfortable with the price you are paying. Finally, there was a big sign in the bathroom about not flushing condoms down the toilet. I found this vulgar and
It is clean and tidy with very friendly staff. Parking is very safe and the staff arranged for us to have a barbecue next to the pool on the Saturday evening. Would recommend the place to anyone.

The reception was great, check-in was quick and easy. Room is neat. The fridge's glass shelf was gone and I reported it. The TV was not up to standard. There are limited channels which is not a problem but the TV's channels were completely different from what is listed. The location is good and on a one way street which made it easy to get in and out. The street is not too noisy either. Breakfast was standard, but I was too late to book dinner and so just went to eat at a restaurant in town.
The Marlot Guest House was very neat and clean.
The room was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and overall it was a pleasant experience. All I can comment on is that the towels were not sufficient and we had to share one towel.
I think there are better places in Polokwane for the same price or cheaper.
Waited 20 minutes at reception upon arrival and departure. TV did not work, room tiny - in fact the room was as big as the bathroom. Compared to other places on the website this is way under par.

Didn't have a nice experience at the venue - the shower's hot water spat for 10 min and eventually cleared up. The parking of no. 1 was very dangerous because it is right next to the driving level where all the cars have to enter and exit single lane. On the booking the description of breakfast was made to look like it was included, it wasn't - a bit misleading.
No towels, had to go and ask. Cold water showers Monday morning.

Was a very nice experience! Pool is beautiful. Breakfast is big and delicious, definitely worth the money. Staff are very friendly and make an effort to treat you well.
Second time in two months that we visit Marloth. Was even better than the first time. We also had dinner there that time, really delicious and value for money. Clean room, clean pool. Eunice who works there is surely part of the reason why visiting Marloth is such a pleasant experience. She is very friendly and professional, and goes out of her way to help people. They made me, my husband and our dog feel very much at home the 5 days we were there. We will definitely go again and again!
Staff lady who worked night duty at Marlot Gastehuis was very nice and helpful. She provided us with additional items such as extra soap, towels etc. The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast which we additionally confirmed upon our arrival. It was ridiculously cheap, but a delicious breakfast!
We can highly recommend the Marlot Guest House for the overall experience, the staff were efficient and helpful. We will certainly be back again if we in the area. Thanks for the wonderful service.

It would be nice if there would be mats in front of your bed and by the toilet. The winter morning floor is uncomfortably cold on your feet.
Marlot has a variety of rooms to suit your pocket.
Please have a look at the toilet in the room with single beds, it leaks water on the floor.
Spacious, clean and tidy rooms. Secure covered parking and everything needed for an overnight stay. We cannot comment on the breakfast (not taken).
The rooms were very neat and clean, but would have liked a hairdryer in the room. We were in Polokwane for a game festival and were busy with the stalls and then sent 1 person to get everyone's keys. When we got to the rooms after 12 o'clock in the evening there was no coffee/milk/sugar in the rooms - you have to buy a coffee packet for R20. We feel it could be included in the price. At breakfast, the lady didn't see that we paid at reception, stormed out and shouted in front of everyone that I should just go and pay my bill, unacceptable.
Although rooms were neat and clean, we were very disappointed not to be able to drink coffee in the room in the morning. There is a kettle, but you have to buy a coffee pack in advance which was not mentioned to us. The shower's hot water pressure was pathetic, hardly any water came out. We were in rooms 1 and 3 - think the shower problem was room 1. The wall plugs are also in very awkward places and you have to move furniture around to plug in a mobile phone charger or hair dryer to use. We will not use this guest house again.
