The house comprises 4 comfortably furnished bedrooms. All rooms are fitted with double beds, fans and have a shower, toilet and a basin. In the loft area are 2 additional single beds. All linen and towels are provided.
The house also comprises a fully equipped kitchen (no oven), and a spacious living area. The kitchen is equipped with a gas/ electric stove, crockery, cutlery, fridge-freezer, deep freeze (chiller), microwave and kettle. Free Wi-Fi is available, DStv connection is available but guests must bring their own DStv smartcard.
There is a lovely wooden deck that is perfect for those lazy days. Outside is a plunge pool (to be filled by guest according to requirement) and a braai area with great views of the bushveld as well as wildlife such as kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, baboon, bushbuck, vervet monkeys, nyala, impala, warthog, duiker, lesser bushbaby, giant bushbaby, various small cats and ostrich roaming freely around. Abundant birdlife.
Marloth Park boasts 4 of the Big 5, with the exception of elephant. However, elephants can often be seen splashing about in the Crocodile River that divides Marloth Park from the Kruger National Park. Elephant, hippo, lion and hyena can be heard from the house. Rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard can be found in Lionspruit, a separate game reserve within Marloth Park.
Owner stays on the property in a flat adjacent to the house but it faces in a totally different direction.

65 guests' feedbackWe had a very nice stay.
Nice stay, many animal visits, good location and really friendly people and rest well with the tranquility around you.
We had a great time with family. The fact that each room has its own bathroom was a big plus! The owners are very helpful but do not interfere at all during your stay and if something goes wrong you can immediately bring it to their attention. The animals, especially the Bosbokkies were just the best! Especially mother goat and Flenteroor. Will definitely visit there again if we can.
Very nice, all good.
Set away from the road, this was ideal for our whole family. Close to the animals we love dearly. We had 13 kudu's around our stoep at one stage. Bushbuck, duiker, banded mongooses, bush babies and a genet, to name some. Our hosts were wonderful and we'll go again as soon as we can.
We had a nice stay. Everything you need is in the house and Nellie made sure we stayed informed about necessities and the latest developments.
Was great for a lovely family get-together! Will definitely stay there again.
Set away from the road, this was an ideal home for our family get-together. Amazing visits from the animals. Exciting night sounds from the Kruger. We will definitely visit again.
The house has an attached flat next to it where the owners stay, which makes it akward to have a braai outside and chat with each other without disturbing them.
Our family had an amazing time. Our children loved the animals and splash pool was a big hit.
Even got a cake from Nellie for my birthday. Thank you Nellie!
Upon our arrival, Nellie and Cobus immediately made us feel at home. The tranquility of the house is alluring and waking up every morning with the animals moving around you is fantastic. The house is well furnished and we had a great time the week we were there. We would definitely recommend it if you want to relax.
Good people, very neat and had an incredibly nice time there.
We had a great stay, house is big enough for 2 families with everything and more that one could need. Cobus and Nellie welcomed us warmly and we felt right at home. All we feel is lacking is space to unpack your groceries, especially if you're staying over for a few nights. Furthermore, the house is wonderfully equipped.
We were 2 families staying for a long weekend. The house is perfect, clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Even with loadshedding, we were not sitting in the dark. We will definitely stay at Eland 3364 again!
Very nice house to stay in, host was very friendly and helpful. Convenient location in the park and will definitely go there again in the future!
Outstanding bush accommodation and hospitality at its finest. We booked for three nights and ended up staying longer just because it was so amazing. We had various animals visit us throughout the day. There is a nice cool swimming pool, each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a queen bed, a large fire pit, and a great abundance of wildlife. What more could you ask for? This place is a five star accommodation at a three star price.
The house is lovingly furnished with many fittings that are apparently individually crafted. Plenty of pots and pans for cooking but some of my children would have liked a toaster for the old bread. The weather was unseasonably cool but we still enjoyed many hours in the pool with the obligatory drinks, especially on old years eve. Evening walks were discouraged because of the presence of some lions that strayed in from Kruger but, as always, the river retained its charm, especially it being at a high level due to plenty of rain. We rate this our favorite place to stay in Marloth.
We were pleasantly surprised with the tame animals that visited us daily, as well as the heavenly peace that rested there. However, the road can improve as it does not easily accommodate a vehicle with a normal ground clearance. There are also two difficult turns. Small problems in the house had been brought to the owner's attention.
My husband, son and friends spent an incredible weekend at Eland 3364 where we were able to relax and take in the beautiful surrounds of Marlothpark and its wonderful wildlife. Our hosts, Nellie and Cobus, were absolutely wonderful. They made us feel so welcome, and nothing was an effort to make our stay unforgettable. The accommodation was fantastic and we had everything we needed. The only downside was the fact we couldn't stay longer, however, we will be back!
Very friendly reception.
What a peaceful and beautiful place. You will definitely see us again!
We had a very nice stay and there was everything you need. The owners live in a smaller house opposite the big house and are close by to help immediately with any problems.
The braai place is cleaned neatly every day and the animals have a great time there. The teenagers fed the animals deliciously. We could easily walk to the river front without it being too far. The owners also live directly next door. The house was quite dusty but it must have been from being in the woods. There were also no cushions on wooden chairs and 2 deck chairs outside on deck which could have been quite nice. The entrance to the house is also quite narrow and slightly hidden with a sharp turn between 2 trees. The kitchen is also quite small if you are 2 families with everyone wanting to eat and wash. The owners were very helpful, my husband forgot his pillow there and they made sure we got it back. Thank you very much for your kindness and help.
The stay was incredibly nice, our hearts were aching to leave the wonderful house and hospitable Cobus and Nellie after the best bushveld holiday in a long time. Everything was neat and clean. We certainly saw the most animals at the fence than anyone else in Marloth. Spacious rooms with air conditioning, each room has a bathroom and lovely veranda where we could hang out and watch nature. We as a family will use the house again.
Cobus and Nellie, thank you very much for the warm welcome. We really enjoyed waking up in the morning with the animals almost on the front porch. Your place is top. Will definitely visit again in the near future.
Highly recommend it to everyone.
It was a very nice weekend with family. Very nice house in a very nice part of the country. Cobus and Nellie received us very kindly and made us feel very welcome. A large family or relatives can try the house.
We had a lovely weekend in Eland 3364. The area has a lot of wildlife that comes to visit the house so it's perfect if someone just wants to sit on the porch while impalas, kudus and zebras graze around you. The house is deeper in the forest so you shake off the city noise and enjoy a lovely, quiet environment while you sit next to a bush fire in the evening and listen to the roar of the lions. The house was beautifully clean and big enough to accommodate 10 adults. Cobus and Nellie were very friendly and helpful in making our visit as comfortable and easy as possible.
Cobus and Nellie were very good to us. The house is nicely laid out, it's clean and whenever we experienced a problem they were just a message away. They made us feel so part of the bushveld community that we would definitely go again.
Come and enjoy the bushveld in a beautiful home with the game moving around the entire day!
What an incredibly fun time we had. Lovely place. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Hours spent on the porch surrounded by wild animals. Will go again soon.
Thank you from America, Seattle! You will definitely see us and the Americans again! Stunning place, couldn't have asked for better.
The house was everything we expected. The house with its four bedrooms was perfect for our needs. Everything that was needed was in the house and it was clean and tidy. We had a great time sitting on the porch and visiting, the kudu's and other animals came to visit often. Even saw lions across the Crocodile River which is walking distance from the house. Will definitely visit Eland 3364 again and can recommend it for a nice bushveld visit.
Perfect hosts Kobus and Nellie, I'm sure to visit again!
Rooms with each its own bathroom are definitely a plus!
Kindly received! Everything you need in beautiful surroundings. Many animals seen every day. Would definitely recommend the place.
Our stay was very nice and will definitely visit again. Will also recommend the place to people. Thank you for kind service.
Would be better if the house was cleaned and toilet paper provided.
Lovely house, everyone enjoyed it very much. Animals run freely around and say hello. Kobus and Nellie are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The house is wonderfully laid out and located in the park. House is neat and clean and the area is wonderful. In Marloth down the river we saw lions, leopards and rhinos.
Many thanks to (Aunt) Nellie and Uncle Cobus for a fantastic weekend. The place was ready for our late arrival and was immediately greeted by the little night owls and later the roar of lions from the Park. The location of the house in Marloth is good - we have never seen so much wildlife in Marloth as here, and the interaction with the animals was an experience. The hostess sent us information in advance about possible items we should bring and about 'sightings' during our stay. House is well appointed and had everything we needed. We will visit there again. Was pleasantly surprised with the complimentary WiFi! Thank you very much.
Lots of wild life just outside the fence. The owners are such friendly people. Will definitely visit again.
Very nice long weekend and the animal life around the house was great.
Expectations were far exceeded, wonderful place and wonderful service, a definite future holiday home!
The location of the house is near the river, you are greeted with the call of a hippo every day. The guests who come to visit are night monkeys, kudus, impalas, meerkats, ibex (which my son still cries about as he wishes), zebras, warthogs, grebes and the roar of lions every night (we were there for 2 weeks). The house is very convenient for grandma who struggles with stairs - everything is downstairs. The TV (full DStv and WiFi). Wish we could stay longer. Nellie and Kobus are the loveliest people ever!
The quiet was the best part of the entire weekend. No-one bothered us.
Had a great time and would recommend the place anytime.
The most exciting bush getaway! I will recommend 3364 Eland to anyone. The owners are such lovely, hospitable guys whom we have made lifelong friends with. An entertaining Friday night with many laughs! The home is so comfortable with all the necessary crockery, cutlery and bedding. The aircon was very welcome as was the splash pool. House was more than big enough to accommodate all 10 of us. The animals visiting on the front lawn is an experience to witness, especially for urbanites. Highly recommend this stay.
Fantastic location if you want to rest and if you're interested in game sighting. House is convenient with 4 bedrooms, each with a bathroom. Ideal for more than one family.
The house is large enough for the amount of people it is advertised for. All problem I have with the house is that it was really dirty. The floors, windows were dirty when we arrived. The upper porch was full of cobwebs and dust we didn't sit there once in the 4 nights we were there.
We especially enjoyed the animals grazing in front of the house. In the evening the bushbabies visited us. It was quite an experience. House is very tidy and clean. We will visit them again in the future.
Was very nice that the wildlife came so close to the house and took nice pictures of all the animals.
Very comfortable and affordable. Very practically laid out and nice to see the animals around the house drinking water and grazing.
It was wonderful to see all the animals from your patio. The house was comfy, clean and neat. We didn't need anything more. Thanks so much.
Wonderful weekend. We were able to rest and the animals were wonderful. We saw 2 little zebra that ate right by us. The house was so beautiful and nicely appointed. You have to see the stars, so bright in the bushveld. Nice patio with splash pool. We really enjoyed it.
Very nice and peaceful. A few things needs attention: One of the bathrooms upstairs had no hot water, the aircon in the downstairs bedroom leaked water, the electric kettle was faulty. Apart from the above, everything was perfect.
Great that everyone has their own bathroom. Many animals came to visit. Well located - close to river. Can highly recommend.
The whole family really enjoyed the visit in Marloth. The house was comfortable. One bed was broken, but the owner had a brand new double bed delivered the very next day after we let him know. It was a pleasant surprise! The only thing that was a bit unexpected was that the owner and his wife live on site (not permanently) in an apartment attached to the big house, so there was (sometimes) not really the sense of seclusion in the forest that one would like to have, but in the end it didn't bother as much as I thought it would. We didn't have to set the alarm all the time either, because they were there. Added to that, they are not always there and it may be that they are not there at all when the next visitors visit. At least it was school holidays. They are very friendly and helpful people full of advice and anecdotes which were very interesting.
Really enjoyed the stay and the weekend, unfortunately we had no power the second day and evening.
We enjoyed our stay and the animals came to visit. The only negative was that the pots and pans, as well as the drawers they were in, were so dirty that we opted for cooking all our food on the fire. There is also a leading tap and we had to close the toilet tap every time. Apart from this I can recommend the place.
Beautiful home but dusty and not clean. Kitchen equipment (pots and pans) is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. No barbecue. Black mold approaches in showers. Lovely place but gives the impression that there is no cleaning service that cleans the accommodation regularly.
Thanks you Cobus and Nellie for your friendliness and tips about where and when to see wildlife. The house is very comfortable for a family or even friends who want to stay together. The air conditioning was much needed during the heatwave. The house exceeded all of our expectations and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a holiday. We will definitely book this place again.
This place has the best position in Marloth. Close to the river, but not in the street with the traffic. Very good place and value for money if you take into account that every room has en suite facilities. One room smelt a bit of smoke, maybe just work a little at that one.
Wish I could write a book. Friendly owners, delightful accommodation, visits from animals and an ostrich that made himself at home. Such excitement regular old city dwellers like us. Would pop in again!
Ideal hous for a large group of people. Very nice, private bathrooms. Enough space. Towels and linen were OK. Kitchen equipment requires a bit of attention. Sharper knives, dish up bowls, salad bowls and place mats. Washcloths and dishcloths have seen better days.
