27 guests' feedbackMarlothi Chalets is definitely a place I will visit again. It's so peaceful and the gardens are stunning. The chalets are well laid out with the essentials and deliciously cool. Werner made us feel at home from day 1. He is a true host and made our stay even better with help, advice, knowledge and anecdotes.
The reception was very welcome. We were taken to our cottage very clean and tidy. Braai was nice, could braai under cover. Had a restful night. No problems from neighbors. It was very nice, will go there again.
Best to bring your own bath towels, as the accommodation might not provide any.
The unit has not been cleaned before we arrived. There were gheko droppings on all the beds, and the floor. And every item in the kitchen had to be washed before we could use anything. A layer of grime on everything. The unit says it sleeps 5. But the upstairs is tiny and on almost vertical stairs. Not suitable for children, or anyone not fit, or who may need the toilet in the night.
Quiet, peaceful with beautiful hiking trails.
Great place for a small to large group, my family and I had a great time, the hike was epic too. We had a great time at the hall since the weather was on and off. We will definitely return.

Marlothi Chalets may have had a three star rating but no more. Werner was really helpful and friendly but the stay was disappointing. The shower had no doors and was replaced with a shower curtain which resulted in the entire bathroom floor being under water after someone took a shower and had to be dried each time. It was incredibly hot especially in the upstairs room but there are no fans or ceiling fans in the unit. The mattresses are too big for the bed frames and hang over the sides. The mattresses are further laid out and sleeping is uncomfortable. The pool was unusable. We did have a good time on the stoep.
We had a very friendly welcome and were very happy. We will definitely use Marlothi Chalets again in the future. Be well until we see again.
The owner's knowledge about the area and the fact that they share it with you cannot be bought. Every day we were told something about the history of the area. Riaan Vos, the boy, is a walking history textbook. Our thanks to Werner, Riaan, Elize and Poppie.
The pool was a disappointment. It wasn't clean. It didn't bother the children, but it bothered me as a parent. I myself swam very little because the water was dirty. Otherwise, it was a very good experience. Werner (the owner) really went out of his way to make sure we got everything we needed.
Peaceful place to stay over for a night. Not holiday accommodation according to me.

It was a lovely, peaceful experience in a beautiful setting. I would definitely like to stay there again in the future.
The accommodation is very simple, but neat. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The walking trails on site are great fun, although a bit overgrown.
Recommended the place to family. It is truly a very good place to rest away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lifestyle.
Traffic on N4 does bother, day or night.

We had a great time, thank you very much!
We were a group of 7 adults and 3 children. Werner and his wife are pleasant and made sure we were comfortable at all times. The chalets were neat and we felt at home the moment we arrived. On our 4th day we moved to the house which are very spacious and allowed the babies to move around more freely. We will definitely be going back to Marlothi. Thanks to Werner, Elize, and the family for making our stay unforgettable.
For older people who want to come and have a restful weekend it is ideal, but there isn't a lot for children and teenagers to do.
Beautiful surroundings.
Would love to go there again and stay longer.
We enjoyed every moment in the Lowveld. To be out of the city and be part of the bushveld was awesome!
