Great alternative to hotels in the Bloemfontein city centre.
It was very nice, but unfortunately there were a few small things.
Error on web page was what caught my eye, but our room was by no means up to standard. There is a lot of repair and renovation work that needs to be done to the place. The bathroom windows are broken, the shower leaks, the tiles are broken, there is water damage to the walls and flat floors, and everything is full of dust.
We were well received, very clean and tidy. Beautiful place!

The decor and furniture as well as the entire building is absolutely beautiful. Good yet quiet location and friendly service and care. Also accommodated us earlier even though it was not their plan to have guests on New Year's Eve.
For someone who likes something "different", this is a treasure chest waiting to be discovered. Plan to visit for an extra hour or two to experience everything.

It's gorgeous and clean and a really stunning environment with beautiful gardens. I would have liked to stay a bit longer. Would be great for a wedding.
Interesting furniture and hangings. Nice to see the animals. Also no problems due to power cuts because there is emergency power.
The place looks a bit run down, especially the garden needs attention. Not feeling very safe either, but then again we are from Gauteng. Eating places are far.
Shower water runs out onto the floor. Had cold water in the morning.
We where given the option of two rooms, carpets dirty. The towels where damp. Toilet paper found behind curtains. Place was not up to scratch.
What a surprise! Breathtaking, we are so curious to explore the story of the magnificent piece in Bloemfontein. You just want to organize something big just to go back to it. Oh if you have wedding plans definitely have a place to consider!

It was truly a fantastic experience. Hennie is a nice host and everything was more than we expected. The decor is beautiful and the rooms are nicely and practically laid out. The dogs and the birds are for sure a great pleasure!

The premises look neglected, but the rooms are very tidy.
WiFi available but not working. Only lukewarm water and shower drains very slowly. Room cold, air conditioning not working adequately. No bathroom mats, tiles for winter is cold. On ad shows the particular room has a bath and shower, and on arrival there is only a shower, not value for money. Had to ask for a second towel. Only one in bathroom.
Hosts Hennie and Charles were very friendly and the room was spacious. The place as a whole needs a lot of attention and looks totally neglected. There are many other great guesthouses in the area.
Absolutely value for money!
We spent the night at Marrakech and were warmly welcomed by Charles. Hennie also came to meet us and they both made an effort to make us feel at home. It was cold and they lit the fireplace for us where we could spend time together. We ordered takeaway and they still provided us with cutlery. The rooms were very nice and clean and would stay there again anytime.
An incredibly exotic, beautiful guest house that takes your breath away with all the detail. Hennie and Charles made us feel like old friends and pampered us. Definitely the most beautiful guesthouse we have ever stayed at.
Rooms were neat, clean and very spacious. Offers a number of lounges as well as outdoor undercover recreational area that makes accommodation a pleasure. Definitely recommended.

It was a good overnight stay as per usual (not the first time I have stayed there). Only one issue this time around and that was that I had no shower towel and by the time I noticed it was too late in the evening for me to go bother someone.

As soon as you walk into the house, your senses are made aware that there is someone who cares with a passion. The eclectic collection of travel memorabilia takes you to Marrakech, Cassablanca and a Moroccan influence is clearly visible. The hosts are at your service at all times and are friendly and approachable people. The experience was unforgettable and of all the guest houses I have stayed in, this one is the one I would remember most. I would highly recommend the guest house to anyone. Try the guest house, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

The building and grounds need a lot of maintenance. The place looks like in the photos, but the photos must have been taken a long time ago.

Although Marrakech is located in a quiet area, it is still very close to restaurants and town. Reception was very professional and rooms very tidy. Only criticism would be that I would have liked a hairdryer in the room. I couldn't find one. The bins were also full of rubbish from the previous guests. The shower faucets are not marked hot or cold, which then wastes unnecessary water in the time it takes to figure out which faucet is hot/cold. Breakfast was delicious and atmosphere lovely and hospitable. Will definitely recommend.
We enjoyed our stay in Marrakech. The beds were comfortable and the rooms neat and clean. The breakfast was lovely and we had such a good chat with host Charlie. The guesthouse is lovely and has the most beautiful furniture. Only one negative comment: We left our luggage and my handbag in the room, locked the doors en went to breakfast. Upon returning after breakfast which was around 9, our beds had already been made and the room cleaned. We were upset at this, because I feel that as guest you have the right to your room until you check out at 10. I feel they could have waited until we vacated our rooms before cleaning it.

I don't think the accommodation is suitable for business travellers. I arrived at the guest house late and they didn't serve any meals other than breakfast. I had to drive 7 km into the city center to get something to eat. I had to fly to Cape Town early the next day and the owners were not willing to serve me breakfast early. I had to bribe them to give me yogurt and an apple for breakfast. I was not at all impressed with the service.
A friendly warm welcome when we arrived. The entire guest house is beautifully furnished with antiques. The guests are well catered for. There are so many differnt places to sit and relax, each with a different ambiance. A beautiful venue for a function or a wedding. A stay at Marrakech guest house is a must.

Everything was very nice and tidy. Nice breakfast. All we didn't like was the dirt road to the guest house.
Another couple got lost in the city looking for the place. We wanted to sleep near the city for a visit to the planetarium, but were only too happy when we arrived so late and found our accommodation outside the city.
Pleasant, close to N1 motorway. Although it is not located in Dan Pienaar at all, and I would have liked to spend the night in the suburb.

In beautiful Bloemfontein, this is surely the biggest gem. The room was great! Hennie and Charles were extremely pleasant, and I just felt incredibly pampered the whole time.
