The house can accommodate up to 8 guests with 2 double beds and 4 single beds. There is air-conditioning in the one double bedroom and fans and heaters are provided in the other bedrooms. The lounge is equipped with a TV with local channels. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle and stove. All towels are provided. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and rusks are provided.
Guests have access to a stoep with braai facilities and a beautiful view, and also have access to a double parking garage.
There are a variety of activities on the farm for guests to enjoy such as picnics, walks or drives in the veld, swimming in the dam, climbing the mountains, bird watching, and star gazing.

Slept very well. Will stay here again for sure. Waking up on a farm it was lovely. The house is neat and spacious.

A whole house to yourself. Quiet and peaceful.
We stayed one night on the way from Gauteng to the Cape - the location is very convenient. We were a group of my son (mid twenties), my mother (80s) and my husband and I. My husband and I prefer single beds, and grandma and grandson couldn't sleep in the same room - the house was perfect for our group. Thank you for the nice peaceful sleepover.
Not a lot to do except braai and go for a short walk, which could be good or bad. We had really bad loadshedding when we visited, but the guest house supplied candles, batteries and lanterns which helped a lot. Would definitely recommend for a bigger group, at least 4 people. Gets a bit lonely and quite spooky in such a big house if you're only 2 people. The customer service was amazing.
Nice treat in the middle of nowhere!
The beautiful farmhouse and homestead did indeed surprise us. Everything was neat, clean and comfortable with its own charm of a bygone era. For us city jays, the silence was very welcome, and we couldn't take enough pictures of the magnificent sunset. All we regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Special thanks to the hostess for her friendly reception and for the gifts. We felt spoiled. Would stay there again anytime, this time for longer.
Would highly recommend Marseilles Farm Guest House. Clean, tidy and couldn't fault anything at all. Best stay we have ever had, all we regret is not staying longer. The stars are incredibly beautiful and the silence is just what one is looking for after a long journey. Ancha was very friendly and made sure we felt very much at home.

The website did not provide a true picture of the accommodation. However, the house was to our taste. Karoo farmhouse in a remote area with all facilities for a comfortable stay.
We had a lovely overnight stay, nice old farm house, very neat, can highly recommend it.
We wish we could've stayed for a month. We didn't notice that we had the entire house for that price. It's not far from town, but it sure feels like it. Beautiful Karoo view from the stoep, a dam to swim in, hillocks to climb. We wanted to buy the place, but the owners refused! Relaxing and beautiful!
Very pretty, relaxing, comfortable and clean house, the kitchen was a surprise, very well equipped.
The farmhouse is not too far outside town and is truly a wonderfully peaceful destination. It has a lovely veranda where you can braai and overlook the field. The house is very spacious and provides that real farmhouse feeling. Everything is clean and neat. It was a lovely experience, even though we spent only one night. We drove through Victoria West and believe me, you would rather live in Marseilles than in this town. The town is unfortunately quite rundown. The owner was very helpful and the house neat and clean. There were even blitz and firewood, as well as 2 braai packs in the freezer without us even asking for it. We enjoyed it so much. The aircon in the main bedroom sure makes a difference in summer!
We only stayed two nights (on holiday and on the way back) but wish we could have stayed longer.
Really nice accommodation. Spacious and very neat. It's a bit of a drive outside of town, so they need to remember to warn guests to stock up on everything in town before they drive to the farm.

Marseilles is very well equipped and the house is much bigger than we expected. Real farm atmosphere. Nicely close to the tarmac but far enough that you don't hear the traffic. Beautiful place and surroundings. We were sorry to leave again so soon. Thank you!
Marseilles is a very good stopover on the way to the Cape. It is not far from the main road, is very neat and everything is there that is needed. Just take your own matches for the barbecue! We will definitely stay there again. Thank you very much!

It's a holiday on a farm. The complete house with 10 rooms was allotted to us only. The owners live on the neighboring farm. We were delightfully alone. The silence and the sun setting with the windmills in the background was bliss for soul and body. I will definitely always sleep over there. More people should take note of Marseilles because it is value for money. It is close to Victoria West and only a km from the tarmac. We forgot a credit card, in the bag of ice in the freezer, but Ancha immediately went to look for it and what's more, she personally delivered it to my daughter in George 400 km away three days later. This is service. Ancha and Jaco were very hospitable and their peasant etiquette contributed to our pleasant stay.
The house we lived in is beautiful and we marveled at the old furniture, wooden floors and Aga stove. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. We only contacted the owner by phone and did not see her at all.
Quiet place just off highway. Very neat and excellent value for money. I could never get an answer to the mobile phone number that Lekkeslaap provides for accommodation, but they respond quickly to emails.
Comfortable, spacious house, comfy beds and the Volpes linen is beautiful and clean. We were warmly received and the owners were very friendly. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that it looked as though someone stays in the house when it is not rented. Used soap bars, shower gel, shampoo and sponges in the bathroom, and it doesn't look as if previous guests left it there. If that was the case it should have been removed. Also open, used milk containter in the fridge which added to the impression that someone lived there. I just feel that if you rent a place the items should be new and unused, or not provided altogether. You don't want to see half a bar of soap and dirty sponges on the shower wall.
