We were on our way to the Kruger National Park and took frozen meat with us. Because it didn't fit in one small fridge's freezer compartment, the room next door was also made available to us at no cost so that we could use the fridge too! Truly outstanding service!
Had no complaints, had a nice stay.
I checked very early on Friday. I was first intrigued by the cleanliness of the area. The parking spaces are very small. If you and your guests are booked next to each other with cars, be assured that those cars will not fit in; it's first come, first served. Later in the evening, around 8pm, I had an emergency and wanted a bit of assistance. I dialled the lodge's cellphone number. It went unanswered for a long time, and I was desperate, so I phoned 5 times. Eventually, someone answered, but we couldn't hear each other, I think due to network issues. I tried to phone again, but this time they blocked me. I was shocked. Here I am booked at your lodge seeking assistance, and you don't answer, even going as far as blocking the call. Why are you operating a lodge if you don't want to be bothered? Close it then. You are not doing us a favour by providing lodging; we had other options but chose this one. Unpleasant visit.
Toilet was stained brown inside.
Well located, will book there again. Ideal for overnight sleep. Everything clean and tidy, Sorry for no braai facilities.
I really liked the fact the accommodation was a walking distance from shopping malls and restaurants.

Bedding visibly not very new, not an easy chair to sit on, not power plugs by bed to charge phone. But neat and clean. DStv has very few channels to watch.
The reception aunt was not the friendliest aunt at all, almost felt like we owed her something. In the evening there was no hot water and the light that should have worked for load shedding did not work. There was a truck or something inside the lodge that had us all awake at 3:00 with the beep-beep-beep. Would never stay there again or recommend it.
Will definitely stay there again in the future. Same service, but cheaper than The Ranch.
Few plates will help to eat take aways.

It's incredibly noisy. People come and go all night. Loud guests, cleaners and gardeners start cleaning early. Almost didn't close an eye. It's a shame because it's a neat, friendly place to stop on your way north.
We even looked for a place to stay the night and @Marula brought more than we expected. It's clean, tidy and the aircon was a savior.
Well kept and comfortable. Just disappointed that on the Sunday evening on our return the rooms were not serviced and we had to find our own tea and coffee for the evening/next morning.
We stayed from Thursday to Sunday. My only complaint is that there was no cleaning service. Towels were not changed for clean ones for the duration of our visit.
Vam outside it looks good, but when we arrived there were a bunch of men sitting shirtless hanging out with alcohol and loud music, we were 2 women and didn't feel safe at all. The bedclothes are old and full of spots as they are already jiked it also looks like something that comes from a state hospital. The furniture is also old. The shower doesn't even have a shower curtain in front so when you shower the floor in front of the toilet is also wet. In my opinion it is definitely not worth R650 and I definitely would not recommend it.
We had a very nice stay and the location was ideal. They are just a little stingy with the toilet paper, sugar and coffee. It's such small things that make guests return or not.
Room 17 has a leak in the geyser that falls on the tin roof, it keeps people awake
I would recommend @ Marula to anyone travelling through Mokopane.
Very safe. Accommodated our request not to be placed close to the gate (noisy). Very friendly reception, comfortable.
Very nice stay. Arrival and key received without problems. All the necessary facilities are there. Air conditioner of course extra bonus. Will comfortably use @ Marula again. Central location close to everything. Value for money.
I would like to see that all the wires (TV, kettle, aircon, fridge) can be neatly tied back. Would like to have larger towels in the room. Would also like to have sweetener as everyone does not use sugar. Then also a better light by a mirror where ladies can do their make up, even if it is just in the bathroom.
The place is situated not far from major shops, restaurants and banks, which made our stay very easy.
My girlfriend really enjoyed it at @ Marula. The room was stylish and tidy and they are conveniently located right across from a shopping centre.

It is clean with clean sheets. Just I love tea and they only give one cup of tea or coffee for each, please next time put enough. Beside that I enjoyed my stay there.
Located right across the shopping center, safety is good. Neat and clean. The unit we stayed in (Self Catering Flat A) is located by the gate, and during the day the opening and closing of the gate is quite disturbing. However, at night there were no problems.
Rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy. However, the lukewarm water in the bathroom was disappointing, in the evening as well as the next morning.
@Marula is very conveniently located in the business center across from eateries - within walking distance. The room is neat and clean with a large comfortable table for computer and documents, good light and a nice chair. Shower comfortable and clean. The outside door does not have a security gate - I would still like to leave the door open for fresh air in the room.

Linen is clean and tidy. Mattresses poor quality (mushy). Shower is creepy. Shower head rusted, sort outlet dirty. Parking difficult. Utility washcloth was used. Not value for money.
Room painfully clean and tidy, microwave, fridge, TV, air-con and bathroom with top shelf white towels, for the price you don't expect more than that, all I can add is that they only put a hand soap in pouch add as a norm.

My wife and I have often spent the night in different towns with our daughter's sports and cultural activities. We have had our disappointments in life with lodgings. We were cautious but also desperate for affordable overnight accommodation and took the chance. We really had the best stay we have had in a long time. The rooms were painstakingly neat, clean and bathrooms were without a doubt the best. I would recommend @Marula to anyone without hesitation. Many thanks to @Marula for your excellent service and facilities, we can't help but give you five stars.

We had to check in early and the arrangements for that sold smoothly. The key was in the agreed place and a text message confirmed everything. The detail in embroidery and the Volpes bedding was a pampering bonus! We slept great. Feel free to use @Marula!
Very nice place to sleep over. The reception was just a bit cold and not very helpful. But if you look past that it was all very nice.
It was very pleasant. The red ants in the bathroom were a bit disturbing, and the night club next door's music until late at night was annoying.
When I arrived I asked whether there was WiFi available in my unit, I specifically wanted a place with WiFi because it was my birthday and I wanted to communicate with my wife abroad. I went back to reception to confirm and I was assured that I would get WiFi. Not! My unit, number 17, is exactly out of reach of the WiFi signal. When I went back to the reception to hear whether I could change to one of the other units, as some of them were not occupied, it was not allowed. How could someone assure it while it's a lie?
The place was immaculately clean. The TV worked well and we could still follow the rugby. I will use the place again. Security was impeccable and we felt safe. Cars' canopies are sufficient.
The place was clean and safe, and right in the middle of town. Our unit was at the very back, so the noise from the road didn't bother us. I would recommend the place for a 1 night stay but not if you want to have a good time. It's not really self-catering as there are no utensils, just a small fridge and microwave. There are also no braai facilities. We stayed 2 nights and there is really nothing to do except eat out. The service was very good, they placed us in such a way that we could park both vehicles where each unit actually only has room for one vehicle.

The unit is clean. Air conditioning remote control in room out of order. We were late for reception, received our key in safe - therefore did not have the WiFi code or after-hours number. It was quite a disappointment for two teenage boys.

Neat units, clean inside and ideal for a one night sleepover. Needs a bit of personality and an outside seating area would have been nice, but as a place to rest your head for one night it's fine. Would not stay here longer than one night, the unit is too small for that. TV's need to be upgraded to flatscreens.
With a friendly welcome we went to our room. Very clean and such a small treat on the pillow made us feel very welcome. Everything we needed was there. We will definitely use @ Marula again.

I received an SMS with exact explanation how to get my keys I had no trouble at all. Our room was very neat and the gardens were well maintained. It was nice to just walk across the road to Pick n Pay. Thanks for the cute place.
A friendlier and more helpful receptionist would make a world of difference.
There is a bar right next to this place and I assume most of the people who sleep here are business people who have to get up early for work. I don't think it's that bad during the week, but that bar's music was rock hard until about 1 or 2 o'clock on the Saturday morning. We didn't sleep well at all. The place and service itself is so good, but this bar will cause people like me to not stay there again, because it's really not nice to hear rock hard music when you're trying to rest.

Great value for money for an overnight stay!
The place is okay. My issue is the self-catering flat for 4 that I booked made no mention that it was outside in the yard, and I honestly felt like I was in the street with the noise of all the cars driving by. I was not very happy with the location of the self-catering flat as it just didn't feel very safe staying there with my children.
