Dave and Monica and their gem of a place in the Thaba mountains are really awesome. They are natural hospitality experts and their place is clean. They are friendly, with wonderful stories, and truly give space or engage with their clients. I would go back and recommend anyone to go there for a sincere and hospitable guest house stay. Our time was very short, but I recommend at least a two-day stay over. Thanks Dave and Monica! Peaceful and real.

Located close to town but far enough to be able to appreciate the absolute peace and quiet of the bushveld. Very friendly and helpful owners. Will definitely stay there again.

The service we received was very good and I will definitely go back there again. The place is for old to jink - anyone can go there. If you want to get out of the house to have some quiet time, this is the place for you.

Nice stay, nice rooms. Dinner is a set dinner plate costing R165 per person, a bit much but it was nice.
The accommodation is wonderful. The hosts want to make you feel at home. Breakfast was fantastic and diner great. We would like to recommend this place to everyone.
The view of the mountains and the sunrise is priceless. The rooms themselves are a bit small but there is space enough in the house and on the grounds.

It was truly a very nice time there. Very nice and clean, peaceful and quiet. The owners were very helpful and friendly. However, they should look after maintaining the pool. It had been a big attraction for me to be able to swim, but was disappointed because the pool had a green glow and was very full of bugs. After I treated the pool with chlorine we could enjoy the pool. Otherwise, a very lovely place to visit and would definitely recommend it to others.
I will go again. And I would recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marula Cottage. The place was immaculate and loved the fact that it was surrounded by nature and the food prepared by the hosts was delicious. The hosts and dogs were friendly and made you feel very much at home. Will definitely stay here again!
The food is top notch, the rooms are stylishly furnished and the friendliness of the host, hostess and two dogs make you feel very much at home. No TVs spoil you with only nature's sounds. I would definitely want to stay there again!
Over all a very good experience with friendly hosts.
