Great accommodation for an overnight stop (or even longer). Rooms are clean and tidy, and are beautifully furnished. Small kitchen area has everything you need to be able to grill or even cook a one-pot dish. There is also a microwave oven. The pool looks like it will be lovely in the summer! We slept nice and warm and Deon is a nice host. There is also secure parking on site. And the friendly dogs that came to say hello made our day.

A lovely stay. Easy to check in and check out. We got a discount voucher for a nearby restaurant which was lovely. Pillows were comfy, bed was soft and clean. The room was big and spacious. Only complaint is that the WiFi was very unstable and the bathroom wasn't soundproof for privacy.

Drove down to Stellenbosh with student boy. The unit is a beautiful work of art. Lovely large attic room full of character with king size bed and two 3/4 beds to one side. Cozy TV area right next to you. Spacious bathroom and so artistically decorated. Host couple immediately feel like family. So helpful and welcoming. The restaurant voucher for the nearby restaurant was a treat. Wonderful experience. Was only one night but would love to choose it with bigger family or just as a romantic getaway!

Really appreciated that we could leave the car with the bike rack in the back of the garage. Room is beautiful. The milk, nice coffee and biscuits were really appreciated. Only negative was the porch lights shining through the curtains, but otherwise it was very nice.

We absolutely loved our one-night stay over. Deon and staff were welcoming and friendly, excellent service. The unit was clean, neat and we loved the decor. The teenage boys had a great swim in the pool from a long day road trip. The restaurant, 4 Sheep, that was recommended was excellent, great food. Also the friendly dog Diesel was so cute, made our stay even better. We will definitely book here again.

The reception was very warm and welcoming. The gardens are lovely and the cottage is very well appointed, with gorgeous decor. The bed and bedding is very comfy and everything was spotless. We had a lovely, relaxing overnight stay, with safe parking and a dip in the pool. All in all a very sweet spot and would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time staying at Deon's place on our way to Gauteng. Clean and tidy and felt like an oasis in the Karoo with the air conditioner. Checked out the menu in the room and had some of the best food we ate on our whole holiday at the restaurant, which is close to Little Lamb, including Milk Tart and lamb sandwiches.

We were received personally and very kindly by Deon. The secure parking for our vehicle and trailer ensured further peace of mind. The premises are stylishly furnished and we were able to rest wonderfully. The braai facilities are well equipped, and the privacy of our entrance meant a lot to us. We only slept over 1 night but it was a sweet night's rest, the children enjoyed the DStv. Everything was perfect, I might just suggest a curtain separating the sleeping facilities from the bathroom as I was traveling with a teenage son and daughter and value privacy in the bathroom. Please keep bearing in mind that there are steps, it's not a problem for us at all, but I wouldn't recommend it to older people.

My family and I - husband, 10-year-old and 2-year-old daughters - were travelling from CPT to BFN to visit my father who had just been discharged from hospital. I booked at Mary's Loft and paid in full. On out way, there was a major accident on the road which caused us to be stuck in the traffic for 4-5 hours. Just as we were about to enter Beaufort West, I received a message from the owners to say they are closing now because they can't wait for us anymore, even though I explained about the accident that caused us to be so delayed. We tried calling and they wouldn't answer, even to let us sleep for a few hours having being stuck on the road all night. We ended up sleeping in our car at the Engen garage as you leave Beaufort West. When we were making out way back, I contacted them and asked if they could accommodate us for the evening seeing that we had already paid them and hadn't used their service. The owner said they were fully booked at both their accommodation facilities and couldn't help us. No refund. No apology. Ended up staying at another place where we stayed before and will definitely continue staying at whenever we need to pass through BW. Worst. Experience. Ever

Because it is an attic, you have to climb steep stairs and the wooden floor creaks terribly when you walk on it. The people are very nice and the room is nicely decorated. Wonderful stopover on the way to the Cape.
For parents with very small children who may still need to be carried, I as a mother will not feel too comfortable because stairs that are very stylish. Old people will also find it difficult to climb up with luggage to the attic. Furthermore, everyone will have a pleasant evening.
