32 guests' feedbackThe hostess came to our rescue. We walked a little blue at the initial guest house. I had to find a place to stay in a hurry. Masasana's Rest received us at very short notice. Although the hostess, because other commitments, could not be there in person to receive us, she assisted us by mobile phone. The rooms were painfully neat and fully equipped! Many thanks to Masasana's Rest for friendly and very good service. We really appreciate it!
The reception was friendly, sleeping place is neat and spacious, good location, value for money.

We arrived there with loadshedding. Was surprised to have a gas stove. We could cook and barbecue! It was pitch dark outside, no emergency lights. Well 1 candle inside. But in South Africa we have already learned to travel with our own emergency lights. So we had a nice stay.
Great place with a peaceful stay. Utensils need to be managed better to prevent guests from taking them away.
The unit needs attention, the kitchen's cold tap is not working, the inner door latch hangs upside down, curtain hooks not tidy, bathroom curtain is untidy, one shorter than the other, barbecue grill broken. No towel arrangements in bathroom. Mosquito nets ineffective.
Load capacity can be a problem.
It is located in a nice place just outside Hazyview, and the chalet is very neat and not too expensive. Had a nice view and braai area, there is also a nice restaurant.
I loved how private it was and how I had my own little living room area with a view of the dam.
The place looks so welcoming with a beautiful swimming pool, and lots of beautiful trees, but the problem is the bad-smelling bathroom and carpet. Very dirty.
Can they change the bed because it's not in a good state it kept shifting to the sides.
Hope there won't be any load shedding next time we visit.
The guy who welcomed us at the gate was very, very friendly, he made sure we settled in okay, and he was very helpful.

The unit was clean and tidy on arrival and the staff friendly and very helpful. I would like to suggest looking at the crockery. I found that there were not enough (no mixing or salad bowls). The bathroom also needs some attention in the sense that the shower needs a good scrub (milldew) as well as the roof.

We enjoyed our time at Masasana's Rest very much. We felt well looked after and the house was very spacious and cosy. We did struggle a little as it did not have many cooking utensils and only a few basic cutlery and crockery items. We would definitely come here again!
We had rain and found that the unit leaks in the bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen lacks some basics like a cutting board, steak knives, a dish cloth, a braai meat tray etc. The braai area has no lights so difficult to braai at night. Just a few adjustments could make the self-catering experience better. Otherwise it's has beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and we felt safe.
