Mashudu Private Game Lodge
Mashudu Private Game Lodge
Mashudu Private Game Lodge
-
The lodge offers guests a choice of booking 1 of the tents or rooms. A small fridge, as well as tea-and-coffee-making facilities, are provided. For convenience, bath towels are provided. Guests booking the tents must bring their own bath and swimming towels.
Each of the rooms can accommodate 2 people, and is furnished with double or twin beds. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Unfortunately, pets cannot be accommodated.
The tents are surrounded by bushveld and can each accommodate 2 adults and 2 children under 16. The tents are not suited for 4 adults. Each tent is furnished with a double bed, 2 single beds or a bunk bed, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The tents have a private boma and kitchen (no microwave). The communal kitchen and boma can be rented if a group booking is made.
Mashudu Private Game Lodge has a curios shop and a bar. The lodge has a communal swimming pool, and a children’s play area. Activities in the lodge include 4x4 game drives, bird watching, walking- and cycling routes, hiking, and off-road motorbiking. For conferences, weddings or large group bookings, the restaurant can be opened on request.
The road to the lodge is a tar road, but the one leading to the tent camp is a rocky road. Normal cars can drive on it, but just very slowly.
Seeing as how the accommodation makes use of solar power, the owners occasionally implement their own "loadshedding" to save the batteries.

17 guests' feedbackIt was a lovely bushveld / "glamping" experience.
We enjoyed it very much. The place is clean, safe and the service is fantastic. CJ and his colleague really made us feel at home and were very helpful with any request. Very friendly service. The food at the restaurant was fresh and very tasty. I will definitely visit again. CJ and his colleague are definitely an asset to the Lodge. 5 star greetings.
It was very nice. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Mashudu Lodge is easily accessible from any town or city. There is a lot to do and the bar area is neat and clean. The gardens are well maintained.
Tent very comfortable and had everything as advertised. Burned down restaurant affected convenience of dining on site, but restaurants were easily accessible and all were pet friendly which made everything comfortable for us. Arrangements for delicious massages also went well. Traffic was only a lot and audible from accommodation area.
Great if you like woods. The road to the tent houses is not suitable for a light vehicle.
Restful stay with beautiful views of the mountains and excellent walks amongst the wild animals. CJ looked after us very well and provided us with the local information and places to visit.
Very friendly staff, neat grounds and roads and clean facilities.
Hunting trip for my son's first buck. We had a nice stay with hot water and warm beds!
We were warmly received and enjoyed the time very much!
Staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and if you need anything, they bring it to your unit. Even wood and ice. Owner even went to each unit to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely go there again.
Good value for money. Ideal for small groups. Great service.
We stayed in Tent 1 and 2 and luckily had the boma to ourselves. This meant that we had a great time visiting and eating there. Make sure you can use the boma if you book. The three days were wonderfully peaceful, no internet and interruptions. Only the vehicles on the main road reminding you in between that there is a city and work waiting somewhere else.
It was our first wedding anniversary and the owner made the end of our day so special with a picnic on top of the mountain while we watched the sun set. Everyone is very friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel at home. It was our quietest time and nothing is a rush like in the city. We enjoyed it very much.
Great people, clean rooms, friendly hosts.
Best rest I've had in years. Service is great.
Beautiful garden and very pleasant accommodation. We had a very hospitable and friendly reception.
