There 2 self-catering suites each able to accommodate 2 people each. They are attached to the main house where the owner lives with their family. Each has a well-equipped kitchenette which features a 2-plate stove, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. There are free Wi-Fi access and a TV with selected DStv channels.
They both also each have French doors leading out onto a small patio. Both suites have their own entrance and off street parking
There are 2 parks in the vicinity and it is close to Newlands cricket and rugby grounds. It is centrally located for easy access to many popular tourist sites.
Regretfully we are unable to accommodate children under 12 years.

10 guests' feedbackWe were extremely comfortable in Mayfield Cottages and would highly recommend it. It is spacious, light, with a wonderful layout and tastefully decorated. The shower was superb too! Very safe, with secure parking and quiet.
We were very satisfied with the accommodation and well situated. Would highly recommend this self-catering.
The unit is spacious, clean and very tidy. Provision was made for the WiFi to work during load shedding and Shelagh also provided us with a load shedding schedule. We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again.
A really nice place nearby Cape Town.
Mayfield Cottage was excellent and the host Shelagh was welcoming and friendly. The cottage is immaculate and has some lovely "we care" touches such as fresh flowers on the table, some biscuits and enough tea and coffee to allow us to get organised for self-catering. There was an oil burner burning a lovely essential oil when we arrived making the cottage smell really beautiful. The lovely garden and pool is a bonus as is the safe inside parking available. This is a perfect location in the Southern Suburbs. I highly recommend Mayfield Cottage and will most definitely stay there again when visiting Cape Town.
We were very kindly received in a clean and tidy place. Nice spacious room and living room. Owner let us know by SMS when it would be load shedding and there were sufficient lights etc.

Tastefully furnished and spacious room with well appointed kitchen facilities and a good bathroom. Clean and comfortable unit. Close to shops and restaurants.
