It was fantastic! Elanor goes out of her way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We were also spoiled with tasty meals that would make many restaurants look up their noses. It's terribly beautiful in the Kalahari, and it's a beautiful working farm.
Yes, the farm is a refreshing experience. Late afternoon walks on the red sand roads are light years away from the city.

This guest house was a wonderful surprise in the Kalahari on the way to Kgalagadi. The elegant rooms are luxurious and open onto a lovely long, welcoming veranda with a view of the garden and the farm, from where we experienced a special sunrise. The braai area is on another porch where Eleanor set us a 5 star table with absolutely everything we could need including excellent oven mitts for the braai as well as free wood. The sunset is an experience from there and we spent a lovely evening there. Breakfast was available from 6:30 and such an experience that one could make a reservation at Mecca just for the sake of it! Exquisite dining room, delicious breakfast, presented in such a way that you want to take a picture. Eleanor's hospitality and kindness will stay with us for a long time.

It was so peaceful and clean. Neat with friendly staff.
Maybe put a chair in the rooms? It's nice to sit and read, the patio outside was lovely, but if it rains you have to go to the room and a chair will be welcome. Farm food was deliciously prepared and we had a great time. Will definitely recommend.
Our two nights at Mecca were perfect with no complaints. The service was prompt and the accommodation provided everything we needed and more. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the area. It's nice in the Kalahari!
Mecca's location may seem to take you away from the main routes, but what a wonderful place. Beautiful surroundings, good road to get there and peaceful place to stay. It is very well appointed, one of the cleanest and neatest places I have ever stayed. Hospitality and delicious meals available if you book for them. You will not regret your visit.
On the way to Kgalagadi then slept there. Most friendly host and hostess. Room neat, clean, tidy in the most beautiful nature. Breakfast was average.
All the facilities were in place, clean towels, generator with load shedding.
Perfectly positioned for onward drive to Kgalagadi. We had a lovely dinner. Bonus to be able to go for a walk.
Mecca was fantastic! We struggled to find accommodation in the area but were glad to come across Meccas as it met all our needs. Neatly clean everything in the room that one needs, even a lovely white dressing gown. The dinner was also top notch! Super tasty cooking food perfect at the area. Will definitely stay there again.
We were kindly received and had a great time. They really made an effort to accommodate us and even brought us a braai.

I was in the Northern Cape for business and spent one night here. Place is neat, clean, nice linen. Dinner was generous and the food package the next day also generous and tasty. And Tiger the cat kindly came to say hello. Hostess and her husband were friendly and helpful.
Mecca offers probably the best service you can find in that area, with a hostess who knows what she's doing and looks after every visitor. I travel a lot and it was great to see that the people of my place the Kalahari can do it better than most in the world.
I showered in cold water for my entire stay (2 nights).
