The view was just breathtakingly beautiful not to mention the sunset, and the cottage is incredibly well appointed with everything you need. We will definitely book there again. Debbie was also extremely accommodating with us because we wanted to check in earlier due to a gymnastics competition in Saldanha. Thank you very much.

We didn't just have a great stay, we had a fantastic stay! Here you kick off your shoes and just put them back on when you go back to the city. Meerhuis has it all! Incredible sea view and you only walk a few meters to the sea. We really relaxed!
We spent the night here on vacation. It is idyllic accommodation on the lake with the most beautiful view. The hostess was kind to us when my husband had to take his car for service, so that I could wait and we could check out a little later.
Here you kick off your shoes and relax. The cottage has everything. Just bring your clothes and food. Everything is perfect here! When the wind blows, you sit snuggly inside and stare out at the beautiful blue water. Here are books to read and games for the cold windy days. But the best is to just walk out and you are at the lagoon. I can't wait to stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Meerhuis Cottage. The view is beautiful and you can just walk on the beach from the house. We visited the West Coast National Park which is nearby. Everything within walking distance. The house was very spacious and clean. We didn't miss anything.
A piece of heaven on earth. My husband was able to fish just a few steps from the house. The house was spotlessly clean. All amenities needed there. Friendly reception.

Hostess Paula has a very good feel for EVERY need of a vacationer. Search for something and it's there (eg games, books to read, etc.). All equipment high quality and maintained. Very well located. We walked everywhere. Quiet and private. Great holiday, even with unexpected rainy weather. Would recommend to anyone.
The view took our breaths away and the location is perfect. Beautiful garden and within in reach of everything. So peaceful and just what our wounded souls needed. Paula was a gracious host. The only down side was, that we could only stay for a weekend. It was like our home away from home. Would definitely go again.
Overall, no complaints with the stay, because who could ask for a better view? They were working on the roads so had to take a bit of a detour, but that's the only negative. Thank you Meerhuis Cottage, you are awesome.

Meerhuis is a hidden gem. The owners have really thought of most things that a person would want when travelling and, apart from a washing machine (go figure), the availability of home tools makes Meerhuis a home from home. Paula was an excellent host and our overall experience at Meerhuis will ensure that we will return at a future date.

Awesome location, perfect sized cottage, magnificent views, everything we needed and more. Had problems with my wifi connection.
The pictures are not what the actual cottage looks like, it is like a garage converted into a cottage. Not enough space for 4 people. Every now and then we were asked to move our cars which was very disturbing.
From the interaction with booking, the friendly communication with the owners Debbie and Paula, to the location and interior of the cottage, it was a very pleasant and effortless process and stay.
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful. Paula was an amazing host. Will definitely visit again!
The cottage was clean and neat and quite spacious. Paula and Debbie were super hostesses and were very accommodating, the location and view is amazing and was perfect for our kids who could play on the beach within view from the cottage. Although the cottage is situated close to Langebaan and all the amenities it is private and secluded. I would certainly recommend their establishment and would not think twice to stay there again, preferably for longer than a week. We will certainly come again!
For R1500 per day, a cleaning service can be included, especially if you book for 7 days.

If possible I would have given Meerhuis 10 out of 5 points. The house is nicely furnished and very nice and clean. Paula is an excellent hostess and assisted us with advice on all our questions. We were really sad to leave and had an amazing time. The cottage also has a fantastic view and you can just relax.
Breathtaking and tranquil. It was the perfect place for a break away from the city and girls catching up. Would definitely visit again.
