Yes, it's self-catering, we as a family travel a lot as we have horses and attend shows so we have been around and everywhere we go it's self-catering, but we receive the basics like refreshments as well toilet paper etc. I had to ask for this. At other places, we receive all of above. Flat sheets were removed and not replaced until I had to tell the owner how unhappy I was, as if we don't use the flat sheets. I feel we have been judged.

We were very grateful to book on short notice, and so pleasantly surprised with the beautiful spacious garden and accommodation. Accommodation is well furnished with a nice big braai, we will definitely go back again!

Traffic noise can be a disturbance but it improves during night time. In general though the accommodation is value for money.

We were on our way from the Cape and it was the ideal stay because we didn't want to be late on the road. We could barbecue.
There were annoying birds nesting on top of the living room ceiling, which literally made noise all the time, even after it was already dark and we wanted to go to sleep. There is also no door between the living room and bedroom so we could not dampen the noise of the birds. The road's noise due to the N2 closeby was manageable and greatly decreased after the last light.
We had good telephone contact with the hostess and could easily sort out any little things. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

We were in the dark 'self-catering' rondavel without a washing place or dish towels and only one chair. Lovely large double bed, good coffee, tea and milk and a bottle of water in the small fridge. Tap water is brown. Very dark and cramped place with bathroom door that only closes half way. Fast traffic intrudes on your rest.
Main bedroom with bunker bed for children is fine but there is no door for closing when using the shower and then you need to go to bedroom to put on clothes. Shower door is struggling to close at times. Aircon is a must have especially with the summer heat! Braai facility needs some new grid, the one there to use is very old.
It is a nice quiet place to book, but only the tv channels can improve, as well as WiFi which is advertised, but was not available. But other than that there are no problems, the place was pleasantly beautiful and everything was in place.
Everything perfect, accommodation, quiet, view, delicious dinner! Belinda is the best hostess!
Beautiful farm area with a bubbling spontaneous friendly hostess and host. House beautifully furnished and thank you for making plans so quickly to arrange a double bed for Grandma and Grandpa - bunk bed would not have worked so well. Prime! Would love to return.

We were received very kindly and could feel right at home. The place is all you need if you sleep over on the way. Very nice and comfortable stay there. The place is just nice on the road, which makes it very comfortable. One simply feels like taking in more of the farm life.
We had a fantastic stay at Melkboom Guest Farm. To look out over the fields like this and to see the little sheds near here on the fields just put my soul at ease. Everything was so neat and everyone was only too willing to help where needed. The cottage is nice and spacious and is furnished with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Even though it was so close to the N2, the vehicles on the main road were not a problem at all. I can't wait to visit again soon!

It's a lovely, neat and clean place. The reception was very, very hospitable. It's wonderful like that in nature on the farm, and when you wake up you hear the farm sounds. Very hospitable people. And a delicious breakfast. Thank you Belinda, we will definitely stay with you again and I will definitely recommend people to do the same.

Always a pleasant stay in a friendly atmosphere..
We were very well received by Belinda on our arrival, and found the unit to be very neat and clean, and it met out needs. A little 'bar' fridge would be a welcome addition. We arrived late, and left early, and I wish that we had at least had time to take a walk, and enjoy the fresh air and surrounds, on the farm.
