17 guests' feedbackWe had a wonderful stay and received very friendly service. Our baby dog was welcome and even got a little parsley.
Ruim, gerieflike verblyf vir ons gesin van vyf. Thanks to our very friendly English speaking host, Martin, for the warm welcome. We felt right at home. The accommodation had everything we needed.
What an incredible place. Very well equipped with more than you can imagine. Just a short walk from the beach. Bonus was that our dog was welcome. Definitely a place to return to!
Neat place, would definitely recommend.
Had a nice rest and the place is well equipped. Was there at a very wet and cold time and the fireplace was excellent then. No power problems, with solar equipped and working TV, enough board games to keep you busy on a cold day. Thank you very much for a nice time!
We had a morning and an afternoon activity every day. The MyCiti which runs right past the accommodation was also a bonus and the children really enjoyed the bus experience. We will definitely visit again.
Despite being on the owner's property, the holiday home is altogether private. It is really spacious en fully equipped with everything you need, even a private garden for my two dogs! Forgot to take along a couple of things (braai spice and oil), only to find a supply available in the food cupboard, and as for the dishwasher, that is a real blessing! Lovely sunset views from the balcony and a private beach with wonderful sand dunes within walking distance. Make a booking, you won't be sorry!
Ideal location for people who enjoy windsurfing, and surfing. All you need is available in the house. Very helpful owners on the property. Very good for people who are "new" in South Africa.
We were so tired when we checked in and what a wonderful, peaceful stay we had! Martin was a wonderful host and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Awesome sunset views as well!
From our arrival to departure the owner was fantastic. The house is very well equipped with everything you need - up to milk, tea coffee, water etc. so you don't have to stop at the store immediately before that first cup of coffee. The rooms are neat and clean and very comfortable. Nice beds and nice clean bedding. Blankets everywhere for when the cold wind picks up. Gas heater and option for a nice fire when it's cold. Clean barbecue with outdoor table and chairs. WiFi, TV with Netflix, during loadshedding some lights work in the house. A quick walk down the street to a beautiful beach with the most beautiful white dunes. Definitely a place I would recommend for a nice family vacation!
The description and photographs on the website do not do justice to this lovely, large flat. Definite value for money! Only wish we had booked for longer, a mistake I will not repeat! The flat has two large bedrooms (with comfy beds), a bathroom with a shower and a bath, a large open-plan dining room, living room area, and a balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped and my dogs were also welcome. Martin made us feel very welcome and spared no effort to make this flat a home away from home. We will definitely be going back!
View from the corner of the living room was excellent. Martin was incredibly accommodating after we had a medical incident on Saturday.
Martin and Heather are an excellent host couple. Their service is great and unbeatable.
This is a home away from home. Every convenience you need for a short or long breakaway is contained in this 2 bedroom home with a lovely view of Table Mountain and the beach. Oh yes, did I mention that the beach is literally no further than 500 meters away!
It was a wounding place. Everything I needed was there. It was spacious and the owner was a good host.
The residential unit is very spacious and excellently equipped. Martin, the owner who also shares the premises, was very friendly and helpful. One tip is to install a carport or shade net for your vehicle. We were constantly made aware by little "reminders" about the water crisis in Cape Town. This is much appreciated, because one can sometimes forget about it when one is on vacation. The time at Melkbos Beach Cottage was truly top notch!
Friendly owners. We had a nice stay and it's very nice for families - there are even board games and books for kids. It's walking distance from the sea. Very nice for small pets. Will definitely go back.
