Nice for a place to rest your head in the evening. Deneysville itself does not have much to do but it's not far to drive to do something.
Everyone was welcoming and loving. I will go there again very soon.
The weekend was unforgettable and we thoroughly enjoyed breaking away to Memories Vaaldam Guest House. They were always accommodating and ready to address every need. We also had a nice meal and explored the area. The best part was the Jacuzzi! We look forward to staying at Memories Vaaldam Guest House again.

Toilet dirty. Harvest calls for cleaning. No coffee facilities, although a kettle was available.
The stay was disappointing. Moving from 3 bedroom units to a 3 bedroom house, as requested by Memories Guest House, was not a good decision at the time. The residence is not at all on the same site as the reception and restaurant (which is advertised). So we supported other restaurants, which were closer, for dinner and breakfast. The house has no TV or microwave in it. Only 2 aircons (living room and master bedroom) and then it doesn't even work. Only 2 towels for 6 persons. No coffee/tea available - we only supported small shops (had to spend extra money). Crockery and cutlery in disappointing condition and not enough for 6 people. Positive: nice and warm duvets and blankets, sufficient hot water for bath and shower and there is Wi-Fi.
The place was very cute with nice staff. We were received kindly and the food was very tasty.
I was disappointed that the room does not have a TV to keep us busy. There is no microwave to warm food, and there is no changing of towels.
At night the water was closed.
We thought there would be more places to visit and activities for me and my partner at Memories Vaaldam Guest House, but that wasn't the case. They are very limited.

We stayed one night at this very neat, comfortable and affordable place, almost on the banks of the Vaal Dam, on our way back home from the Northern Cape. The people very helpfully and patiently helped us to get there, (which was much later, than our original planning and already in the dark). They also have a restaurant on site, which made delicious pizzas especially for us, after hours, which we were able to have helpful. As well as a tasty breakfast, the next morning. Memories Guest House and its restaurant are definitely to be recommended, with exceptionally caring and hospitable people, who own and manage the place and restaurant. Good value for money.
The hosts are extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was very nice! The only minor downside was that the bath had not been cleaned, and when I brought attention to it the owner was horrified and immediately wanted to help, so I think their cleaner must have gotten distracted, as the room and the rest of the bathroom were spotless! I will definitely go back there, as I am keen to try their food next! I can really recommend Memories, as you will be well looked after, and no request is ignored. It really is a home away from home!
Cherise and Tobias are excellent host and wife. We didn't have internet reception in our room and Cherise tried to move to help but we just gave up. So no WiF for TV or laptop or phones. But otherwise really no complaints. These are people people.

Having a restaurant on site is a bonus, just missed our early morning coffee. There was no kettle in the room and only Ricoffee. The television also buffered permanently and we couldn't relax with a film. Furthermore, I would highly recommend the place.
Was in Deneysville on business and stayed at Memories Guest House. The room was very clean and newly redone. Had a great stay and would recommend them. The people were also very helpful with information we needed.
Friendly welcome. Accommodation was clean and tidy.
On arrival at Memories, we received a warm welcome from the couple managing the establishment. They were always close on hand to help with any queries about service, or questions we had about the town eg. places to visit, amenities etc. The guesthouse itself is conveniently located within short walks to shops, banking facilities, the dam, and restaurants, even an amazing motorcycle museum with a garden restaurant just up the road, where we enjoyed a hearty breakfast on Sunday morning. We were hungry when we arrived at Memories, and were able to enjoy a very nice lunch at the well appointed on premises restaurant, whose staff were once again friendly and accommodating. We were only there for 24 hours, but by the time we left we almost felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.
It was clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and assisted us with food even during loadshedding.
