The Africa unit at Mentors Country Estate is wonderfully equipped with everything you need after a long time on the road. The layout of the unit is also very nice. We only had a few insect friends too. Otherwise, very nice. Will recommend.

We had a wonderful stay, nice space and close enough to the mall and the beach. The animals around and inside the estate give a farm atmosphere. Access to a washing machine would be convenient.

I booked to stay at Mentors Country Estate for 1 night on my way to Cape Town and I regretted staying 1 night, should have booked 2 or more. This place is an absolute gem and the kids loved it. So convenient just off the N2 with restaurants and shopping mall just around the corner. Beautiful self catering cottage fully kitted with all the essentials.

Mentors Country Estate was the perfect place for our large group. Everything was neat and clean. Friendly and helpful management ensured we had the best weekend.
There were 18 of us staying in the Plaashuis, how conveniently situated was the place as we did not have to consider neighbors. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would most definitely book again. The only thing that would be more convenient is as we can determine the rate per individual and not house as we had 4 families of different sizes.

One suggestion would be for Mentors to invest in some heating. We were in Africa during a cold spell and it was freezing inside. Admittedly we weren’t in the unit much, but it was a bit uncomfortable temperature-wise when we were.
It was a lovely relaxed weekend. Not too far from PE. A nice getaway for a long weekend.

Location was very located.
I would suggest that they provide daily cleaning services. There were a lot of spiders. They have a peacock that screams all night, so we got little sleep. Pool was very dirty. Was also closed 2 times so they could clean it. We couldn't go to the beach, so it was a bit inconvenient that the pool was not clean and available every day.
Finding comfortable, safe accommodation for the Transbavian MTB is a nightmare every year. You usually have to drive up and down at a time of night when you don't feel like looking for places or worried about stopping at unsafe stops. You would like to wake up the next morning without realizing that all your electronics and bikes and gear have been stolen from your room overnight. But Mentors Country Estate has none of those problems. It's close to the N2 and close to the end point, it's safe with good access control, it's cottage is small but comfortable with everything you need. It's quiet. This will be our accommodation in the future as long as there is a Transbavian rider in this family.
Aloe unit is definitely recommendable for an "odd" number of people (3)! Easy access, very neat and no unnecessary frills. Good value for money, friendly employees and very safe.
We have always had good service from office staff. Perfect venue for small or large groups. Love the fact that one could have the freedom of moving around on the property and get that almost farm feeling.

This place is great for a long stay, you never feel as though you bother someone or that you're in the way. Well-equipped little houses and very neat and clean. Safe parking and the area is convenient. Farm animals are a nice distraction.

A welcome place to rest our tired bodies. The warm shower was just what the doctor recommended after a long day on the road.
Hospitality very good. Facilities available very good, security good. Accommodation good, but kitchen cabinets need maintenance, they are broken and old. Shower roof and shower itself full of mold and black. Doesn't look hygienic.
It was only a small place, but we had a very nice stay. It is a bit further from the town, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. I really recommend it to any person who wants a good vacation. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in each made it very comfortable.
There are only 2 things I would improve on - the crockery in the chalet as well as the TV channels - SABC is really very outdated.

Very impressed with the service we received. The room was very hot because there was no ventilation. No fan or air conditioning in the room and the windows cannot be left open. Believe it would be lovely to stay there when it's not in the middle of summer.
