Had a great time at Meraki. The hostess and host made us feel welcome from the start. Her heart can be seen in her place. I would definitely recommend Meraki and definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at Meraki. They were so welcoming, always checking if everything was good. They even offered us the option to stay until 2pm instead of checking out at 9am.
Well furnished, a bit small kitchen but loving people. Couldn't smoke in the house, stand up in the cold from a warm bed or sit and smoke.
My two sons stayed there for 5 nights. They enjoyed it immensely. Everything you need was there and the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely use the accommodation again.

I had an issue with the bedding which smelled like someone had slept in it and I found other people's hair in the bed and on the pillow. There were small cockroaches in the bathroom. Those were the only issues I had. I would have loved having clean bedding at the least. We loved the fact that the wifi was consistent, even through loadshedding. There should be an option of "maybe" at the recommendation question. Because I'm not sure if I would unless those issues are addressed with the clean bedding and goggas.
Wow, I wish I had the right words to describe our time at Meraki. My husband and I had a great stay. The place has everything you need and more, spacious, clean, tidy, beautiful, safe and peaceful. The owners are friendly, welcoming, concerned and we had so much fun chatting with them. I can highly recommend Meraki and will definitely book with them again in the future.

The owner is very friendly and made us feel welcome. Due to circumstances, we arrived at accommodation almost 24:00, but were welcomed by their son as if it was the most normal thing ever. We were also able to leave a little later as we first wanted to attend our Sunday church from 9am - 10am before we left back to the North Cape. We really appreciated it.

The accommodation did not comply with the description in the advertisement. An inside braai with photo was advertised. However, we should not use it. When we arrived, we were told that the owners' son was sleeping in a room where our kitchenette and shower were. I shared my dissatisfaction with them, after which they very reluctantly agreed to withdraw their son from the room. This after Mariekie said that we could look for other accommodation and that she would repay our money. How do you look for other accommodation if you are already in the village? It was very unprofessional. Her husband Tommy, however, was very gallant and helpful. After we sorted out our problems, it was actually very enjoyable. We invited them to braai with us on our last night there and everything went well. Mariekie even baked a mallow pudding for us. They are pleasant people, despite our delusions. However, the accommodation lacks a few accessories such as: a two-plate stove, bread knife, 2 steak knives, a grater and a potato peeler.
