40 guests' feedbackWonderful place, blissful and just as a getaway should be.
Unfortunately we were there very short, would have liked to stay longer. House is spacious, well furnished, clean and tidy. Very beautiful, quiet and peaceful environment. Nice large veranda almost right around the house with braai facilities. Can really enjoy staying and relaxing here. We had some trouble and the host sacrificed his time to help us. A little off the main road, but that's what makes it so special, just take the extra few minutes and drive to Meyerspoort. 5 out of 5 for the beautiful house in the Karoo.
See stars.
We really enjoyed it, the house is very clean and had a great night's rest. Thank you very much again.
Great place to stay if you want to be away. Rained every day and was cool. Hosts are extremely friendly.
We had a lovely time on the farm. It was my mother's 60th birthday and the aunt put so much effort into making everything special. The silence on the farm was wonderful and the children really enjoyed watching the cow being milked. Thank you, we will definitely come again.
We had a wonderful overnight on the way to the sea. Wish we could stay longer.
What a privilege to stay at such a gem of a place. It's out of town, but worth it! They are very hospitable and friendly. The beds are new and of good quality. It is always important for a good night's rest after a long day's driving. Can definitely recommend them.
Directions a bit mixed up. Got lost and had a great adventure. Should guide on which turn off depending on travelling direction. For example, travelling from JHB, then take the N12 turn off.
Place is stunning. Owners are amazing people. I will definitely go there again and recommend them. Absolutely stunning over.
Meyerspoort is located on a very special farm. It is a really nice environment and the host and wife make a lot of effort to make it special and enjoyable for the guests. The accommodation itself is lovely. It is neat, clean, spacious with comfortable beds and everything you need. We would highly recommend it.
Beautiful location, very nice stay. Would recommend for sure!
We really enjoyed the overnight stay in Meyerspoort, the house was very spacious, well equipped and very clean. The environment was typical Karoo, clean, fresh and very peaceful. Our host and hostess looked after us very well and also spoiled us with their own pickled fruit (quinces) which were delicious. It rained a lot shortly after we arrived and the next day the creeks were running down. However, Uncle Jannie, our host looked after us very well and drove with us to solid ground so that we could continue the journey. He also told and showed us many interesting things about his farming. It was indeed a nice stay, thank you uncle.
Facility very well equipped, had a great time, wood was available for a braai under the unique Karoo starry sky. Thank you very much for the friendly reception.
Beautiful house, well furnished, wonderfully quiet with the nicest porch right around the house.
Thank you very much for the wonderful experience, children really enjoyed it. Real farm experience for city kids. The fig and quince jelly was delicious! Where can we buy some of the quince jelly? Will definitely stay here again.
The 'Old Lift' is comfortable and has everything we needed, even fresh farm milk. The children and dogs enjoyed the farm life. We were also able to take nice star pictures. We would have liked to stay longer.
The Arnoldi's were very accommodating and kind, when we had to change our travel plans at the last minute, and we really appreciated it. It was a relief to have a safe place to stay whilst transporting our pets to our new home. There is nothing bad to say about our stay - we had a great time.
Grateful that I could enjoy Meyerspoort with my family. Soul refreshing for city jays. Just wish could stay longer. Highly recommended.
Roomy. Clean. Restful. Everything you need in the home and more. Including farm milk!
Here you will find rest for your soul. We will definitely come here again and visit for a week.
We had a great time at Meyerspoort. It was the first time after lockdown that our family saw each other again, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. It's very cosy, the house is beautifully fixed and has literally everything you need, down to warm blankets. It was heavenly for the children to ride freely on their bikes, play on the massive lawn and be explorers in the four-wheel drive. Their highlight was helping to milk the cow and being able to walk among the sheep in the fold. It was truly a heavenly visit, and Aunt Cora and her husband treated us like old friends. We will go back again for sure.
We were two families (9 guests in total) who could comfortably stay together in the comfortable house. Although there is no fireplace indoors, we never got cold despite the cold outside. Linen and beds very nice. We were warmly welcomed, the house help daily, the delicious farm milk, fruit and more than enough wood for the evening's barbecue were very much appreciated. The farm is exceptionally well maintained, there are lovely walking trails and the farm roads are in good condition. I can recommend Meyerspoort and we will want to return often. We took time to walk around Prince Albert which is not far away. The silence and nature are heavenly and just what we needed to recharge the emotional batteries after a busy 6 months!
We stayed at Meyerspoort and would definitely recommend it. Thank you for the fresh cow's milk every morning. We were able to relax while the children were playing on the farm and even going to the morning watching the cows milk!
Our group really enjoyed the tranquility of farm life. Nice stargazing and the sheep and numerous turtles provided a lot of light entertainment! Enjoyed mountain biking and would have loved to stay longer to explore more, on foot and also by bike. Wonderful host and wife with real country hospitality.
Farmly and homelike. Thanks.
Fresh farm milk was a welcome surprise in the fridge. The house is spacious and well maintained. Neat and clean braai facilities. Here you can rest body, soul and spirit!
Very beautiful, clean and friendly. Directions are bit difficult.
Meyerspoort was a very pleasant overnight stop. I would prefer the directions to be better despite the flooding in the area of the guest farm.
House was neat, clean and deliciously cool. Enough wood for barbecue. Entire place and site shows that place is well taken care of and maintained. Fresh farm milk and pasella jam was a winner. For sure a place I would recommend anytime to anyone who has some time while traveling.
Beautiful peace and isolation in the warm semi-arid Karoo. Loved the warm climate and evening star-gazing.
Road to farm very poor, I lost doors in caravan, but accommodation very good, nice visit and peaceful atmosphere. Clean, tidy and well cared for, the drought is crushing. The fresh farm milk, winner!
Beautiful place, slightly off the main roads but that's what makes it special. The owners were particularly hospitable! Secure parking and a great environment.
It was a one night adventure with the tranquility of nature a retreat for the soul. Beautiful farm, thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
Very nice and comfortable place to stay. A piece of green earth in the beautiful Karoo.
It was a real experience! Would have liked to spend a longer time there! An audible silence! It's the place where you can come back to the story! Very neat and a beautiful old farmhouse! Friendly owners and delicious fruit! Will never forget the sleepover!
Stunning place. So peaceful.
