Just the braai area needs to be looked at; the ashes blew through the chimney all over the stoep, so that we could not use it again after Saturday night. The wind also blows smoke into the house from the fireplace inside, through the chimney.
Beautiful, extremely clean and tidy place. Nice fireplace for the cold evenings. Very comfortable beds with heater in the room. Would definitely recommend the place.
Our stay was unfortunately cut short. But can't wait to book another weekend at Mickey Finn.
WiFi in the house would have been very useful as the signal on Vodacom and then MTN was not great.
I enjoyed the stay, a nice getaway.
Everything was good. My only complaint is that the cleaner was very rude on departure. We had time until 10:00 to check out, and she was standing, waiting, and staring from just after 9 at the gate, making us feel very uncomfortable.

What a wonderful cottage. The house was very clean and well equipped. It's really a hidden gem with the most beautiful garden full of birdlife. We will definitely stay there again.

In the beginning it was very nice. The house is very neat and has everything you need. We were very happy with the stay, until the power went out the night before we left the place. We called all the numbers available to us, but no one answered. We even called the website's number. We first got hold of someone at 7:00 to let them know the power was out. At 9:00 they only sent someone to charge power. We have 4 children between 1 and 4 years old who got very cold that night. We had been very unhappy.
What a hidden gem! Will definitely stay there again and recommend it to people, truly amazing stay!
