What a soul feast. Wanted to get away from the Christmas hustle and bustle and Middeldam was the ideal place. The house is big and neat and clean and safe. The wine and jam and biscuits were a lovely bonus. Thank you Middeldam for the delicious treat.
This is a lovely farmhouse. It is peaceful, safe and just what one needs to get away from the busy city life. Heidi is a great host and communicates very well about everything. Even though there is WiFi, my kids went exploring and rode bikes, kicked a ball and swam.

We booked both houses but spent most of our time at the farmhouse on its stunning verandah. Lovely lawn and jungle gym for the children to play on and splash pool that we filled to a suitable level for the little ones. Great for a relaxing weekend.

We went as a family. 6 adults, 2 small children and 2 large dogs. It is a beautiful old farmhouse, very tidy inside with enough space for everyone. The children and dogs played and frolicked! We grilled and cooked deliciously and hung out around the kitchen table. Thank you Heidi for your kindness!
Magical stay! Magical place! If you are looking for a quiet, out-of-the-way place to escape, then this is the place. Sitting on the stoep in the early morning watching the flocks of blue crane was just beautiful!
Me, my husband, my late teenage sister, my mother and my brother visited Middeldam Farmhouse for the long weekend from the 17th to the 21st of March. The location is so peaceful and perfect. Heidi and Cobus are very hospitable and so friendly, they even brought us a delicious pack of biscuits! We had a great time relaxing and enjoying quality time together as a family. It's also wonderful to go for a walk on the dirt roads on the farm and look at the sheep and the beautiful scenery. We will definitely visit again! Thank you very much!
We made precious memories during our 3-night stay at Middeldam Farmhouse. The farm views are beautiful and the house furnished with everything we needed! We had a great time and played board games until late in the evening in front of the indoor barbecue. Thank you again, Heidi, for lending us a piece of your paradise for a much-needed break. Thank you also for the delicious muscadel and grape juice! May this year's harvest, after the glorious rain, be exceptional! We were a large group visiting the area for a sporting event. None of our requests were too much for our hosts Heidi and Cobus and they really made us feel at home. The farmhouse, which was built in 1929, as well as the Cottage next door, has all the old world atmosphere you could ask for, but has been tastefully and neatly renovated so that you can also enjoy all the modern amenities. Together with the exceptional location, this place ensures an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back again!

Unit could be dusted and cleaned better in areas above eyesight. Otherwise a superb stay. The fire hearth in the kitchen made the most superb "kuierplek".
Middeldam Farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. Most beautiful rooms with beautiful white bedding - we slept wonderfully! Our stay was really lovely. Most beautiful view! Loads of goodies were also waiting for us - cookies, jam, wine, grape juice and on our first night the owner delivered freshly grilled cake. The service was excellent! We immediately felt at home. I can definitely recommend Middeldam and we hope to visit again soon!

The house has 4 large rooms and is well equipped. There is an indoor and outdoor barbecue.
The house was cozy, it has a fire place in the kitchen. Everything you need is there. It gets windy but at night everything is quiet. You can make noise, dance and sing under the moon and the stars when you feel inspired! The host was so friendly and brought us a lot of wood. Take your family and get to know one another!

Most beautiful house, most beautiful farm, best hospitality! The perfect weekend away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the city. Everything and more than you need. Close to all the fun things in Bredasdorp, Napier, Arniston and Struisbaai, but nicely furnished enough that you don't have to go anywhere. Children and dogs played them to death. We will definitely be back again!
We stayed for 2 nights. Cottage had everything we needed, beautiful tranquil surroundings, amazing views, and we really felt ourselves switching off from city life. Nice hosts, lovely decor. Comfortable beds. As it was mid-summer we struggled a bit with the many crickets coming into the cottage. Next time we will come in winter and see what it is like. 30 min drive from Arniston and De Hoop. Good WiFi.
A fantastic venue for a family with kids and dogs. A well appointed house with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable get away. The hosts, Heidi and Kobus were fantastic, periodically checking up to see if we needed anything and bringing us little gifts of fudge and fruit. We all (kids and dogs included) thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Middeldam.

Heide, our hostess was very helpful and we thank you very much for allowing us to stay at their guests' farm so well. We were 4 adults and 3 children and we all slept wonderfully in the well-restored Old Farm house. from here we explored the area around the southernmost point of Africa daily. Too bad that due to Covid 19 we could not walk on the beach and of course not swim either. but the beautiful pools at Suiderstrand made up for it.
There is beautiful decor and it is well equipped. Nothing was lacking. The towels and bedding were a wonderful treat. Bug paradise if you have kids. The fudge and something to drink was a great treat. Would recommend anytime. Battery nicely recharged. A beautiful place.
We had a great time on Middeldam. We went home in the smaller unit, Wegbreek. The unit was spotless with a welcome bottle of wine, grape juice, freshly baked bread and fudge. There is everything one needs for self-care. The hostess was always available and even stopped by. We slept wonderfully in the absolute silence of the farm. Truly a getaway from the city. We will definitely go back there!

A great place to enjoy a well deserved getaway with friends or family or however you prefer, it's the perfect location to just let go and embrace the farmland. Cobus and Heidi were great hosts, they welcomed us on the first day to make sure we have a great time and the next morning Heidi brought us a fresh batch of eggs and fudge. I would definitely visit this place again!
We didn't even switch on the TV, but spent the whole night in front of the fireplace in the kitchen around braai and board games. We had a good night's rest and a warm shower. We can really recommend this beautiful place.

Feel like a farm owner as you stare across the plains. Sheep, springbok and blue cranes. The winter hearth in the kitchen has become a nice place to socialise in the winter cold.

The children could play and make noise and be children. We had a nice barbecue in the kitchen and drank coffee on the porch. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
The house is practically furnished, very tidy and the owner provides outstanding service. We were welcomed with fresh bread in the kitchen and delicious wine. The rooms are spacious and cater for all needs. Around a barbecue fire we could enjoy the breathtaking view over the wheat fields and in the morning you could look at the sheep from the kitchen window. What a stunning, beautiful house! We absolutely loved it there, very peaceful and quiet. Worth the ride on the dirt road with the bikes. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this place! We will definitely return.

Beautiful house with lovely views of the Overberg's fields from the veranda that runs around the house. We had a great time in the kitchen around the table and could also have a cozy barbecue there when the wind picked up a bit. The lawn in front of the house was lovely for some sunbathing and we were close enough to Waenhuiskrans for a quick swim in the sea too!
The farmhouse is wonderfully spacious and extremely well furnished. The dirt road on the way home is not bad at all and is absolutely worth the drive. Friendly owners who made an effort to make us feel welcome. I wish we could have stayed all week - it was wonderful for the soul to have only silence around us.

The house is beautiful, very, very well equipped and extremely clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to spend the night there and the finer touch to the athletes who stayed there made a big impression on us all. The owners are cordial and can be proud.

If you want to get away from the city, Middeldam is for you. It's quiet, peaceful and beautiful with everything in the house that is possible to make your stay comfortable. We enjoyed the DStv because we could watch Wimbledon, but otherwise he was down. You enjoy the sounds of the working farm and the two farmers are always willing to take you along and learn more about their activities. The enclosed garden should appeal to people with small children and the luxurious bedding and tidy bathrooms will make any discerning woman happy. This was my second visit and I will definitely go again.
Middeldam is an incredible place and we had such a great time! Much needed! Ann was very helpful and there was even a fresh farm roll waiting for us on Friday - delicious! I highly recommend going to Middeldam to find peace of mind.
Middeldam Farmhouse was the ideal getaway holiday for our family. We stayed 5 nights and wished it was more. We chose the farm because there are 4 bedrooms, which provided enough privacy for 6 adults and a toddler. During the day we went to explore the surroundings or just take a nice walk and relax on the farm. In the evenings we hung out in the kitchen and played board games, while the indoor grill always had a nice little fire burning. Cobus and Heidi are very hospitable and we really enjoyed the farm tour with the young lambs. We will definitely go again!

Everything was very nice. Only two items need attention I would say. I would prefer the house to be cleaned every day, even if it costs more. And the hot water for the sink is lukewarm for some reason.

We were 10 guests who were absolutely overwhelmed. We were welcomed with two freshly baked farm breads and friendly owners. We had a great barbecue on the stoep and played on the large lawn while the sun's last rays fell over the Overberg hills. Perfect house if you want to experience the farm and beautiful nature and want to get away from the city. Perfect for large groups and the house and beautiful decor leave a sense of nostalgia behind you.

Our little girl tells everyone how much fun she had playing in the mud on the farm and watching the rams with Grandpa. The view from the porch is incredible and it is so nice and quiet.
