10 guests' feedbackBlissful getaway with friendly and efficient hosts. The camp sites are well situated to ensure maximum privacy.
Had a great time camping. Really enjoyed the animals on the farm. Horses, dogs, Tom the cat, the two parrots, turtles, chickens and the other birds. The pond and the 3 beautiful old Melkhout trees were special.
We really enjoyed the hospitality, beautiful surroundings and bird life.
As expected. I have been there before. The owners invited me for a braai, which made me feel at home. I loved watching the macaws flying.
We would recommend that the ablution facility be upgraded. The toilet and shower are together, which may cause a problem if the campsite is full.
Loved the camp site. Nervous driving into it gives you uneasiness due to the lack of road cleanliness and the junk laying around.
From the moment the camp's friendly dogs came to pick us up, until we loaded our tired dog into the vehicle, the weekend was just absolute bliss. Everything was perfect, it was nice to sit by the campfire again and play cards and laugh and listen to the night sounds and just live in the moment. Thank you for a particularly nice weekend, we will be back very soon and everything was beautifully clean, and the hot water (gas geyser) was warmer than I expected. Clearly I can recommend to those who just want to go and get peace of mind and get away from the city's noise.
Nice quiet and safe. Fishing and swimming. If you want to get away from it all then the place is just right.
With less than 10 pitches, Milkwood was ideal for our Easter weekend break. We were kindly received and the dogs on the premises are an asset to animal lovers - every time so excited to see us. The enclosed garden with guinea pigs, turtles and piglets was a big hit. Milkwood is close to the Breede River so ideal for anglers. There are two boats for rent on site. Infanta is close by with a lovely beach with water pools for the children to catch fish. No electricity, but that wasn't a problem. The area does get a lot of wind during April so we were almost blown away.
Very neat and quiet. Unfortunately with the drought the marsh dried up and there was no longer any place available where you could get to the river to catch fish.
