The rooms are decorated in light tones and are equipped with either double or two single beds with bathrooms that have either a shower or bath, with a basin and toilet. The kitchen, lounge and dining area are open-plan, and the kitchen is fully equipped and includes two fridges, gas stove, a dishwasher and an ice machine, a water purifier, tea- and coffee-making facilities and ample built-in cupboards to store any crockery and cutlery.
The lounge has comfortable seating arrangements and a TV that has OVHD or is wired for DStv and guests can bring their own device and smartcard. The dining area has a wooden table and chairs for meals. Other features include air-conditioning, an emergency 12 volt light system and 2500 litres of emergency water, just in case there are outages. Guests can also enjoy an enclosed verandah connected to a large entertainment deck and a braai on the ground level. There is a splash pool to wade off hot summer days connected to the decks.
Milkwood offers a single garage for one vehicle, which also contains a washing machine. On occasion, bush babies and Duiker's will visit in the evenings, and sometimes Zebra stop by, to stick their heads in the kitchen door looking for a carrot. Guests will be enchanted by a variety of animal sounds, and 15 minutes drive away the Kruger National Park offers many attractions and activities to explore.
The property uses a simple solar system to power during load shedding. Everything except the air conditioners can then be used. Depending on sunshine and your usage the system will last at least 2.5 hours.

15 guests' feedbackMilkwood is safe and fantastically equipped. Can relax wonderfully, even just young children, because the gate to the pool can be closed separately and animals can be seen from the safe veranda.
The place is very nice with an aircon in every room. Very anti-theft. So nice that we stay there for the 2nd time. Great place.

Beautiful place with air conditioning and a small pool. Night owls who come to visit in the evening and good burglar bars on which made us feel safe. Better than most places there in my opinion. Location such that one cannot see neighbours.
What a fantastic experience! No words can explain how much we have loved our stay. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Our hosts were super friendly. We were so sad to leave. We will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our visit, will definitely go again. There were glasses and glass bowls that had some hard food on them but you could see they had been washed but the burn had not been scrubbed off. So the cleaning ladies just have to pay attention to that. But beyond that, there was not a cobweb or particle of dust in sight.
An amazing, clean, well equipped house in the bush. There was a buck who came to say hello every morning and night. The bush baby is the cutest! Very comfortable bed.
We were greeted by the zebras upon our arrival and were then amazed at the cleanliness of the house. Everything you need is available and of good quality. The visiting area is very private and the lighting makes the animal life very interesting at night. We saw an awful lot of animals that came to eat the pills that we throw out every morning and the night monkeys were amazing to see. Beds sleep great and bedding is good quality and very clean. It scores big points. The air conditioners are essential and in good working order. The washing machine is also the best model and helps a lot with a small boy in the house. We enjoyed the 5 nights incredibly much and are going to try again next Easter weekend to get the unit. If I can add anything that could possibly get attention ─ the master bathroom sliding door has a lot of trouble moving and the bathroom cabinet could really be of better quality. It did not match the high level of finish of the rest of the house. Thank you very much for a lovely home.

Kitchen was equipped with everything you need, even an ice machine and a dishwasher. Aircon in every room. Lazyboy chairs. Mosquito nets over each bed. Handbook to tell you exactly how everything works. Close to the fence of the Kruger Park where we saw lots of game. Not too far from the café and shops. Truly a stunning place.
Brilliant house and setting. The amenities in the house were exceptional. The only thing that could be improved upon is that the manager should have kept his "meet and greet" commitment to show us the procedure for the keys, lights and maid service. We had a brilliant visit and would recommend it to other people and we would like to visit Milkwood again.
