75 guests' feedbackOur stay was wonderful, the surroundings beautiful and peaceful. The service was excellent.
Beautiful, neat, very nicely maintained! Friendly, helpful staff!
We had a great stay, the photos are exactly what Milorho Lodge unit looked like. The unit is very well equipped, I would only suggest that there are tongs for the fireplace or braai wood to move it. We were provided with wood for the fireplace on arrival and it worked wonders against the cold. We were also provided with a cot for our baby with the most beautiful bedding. The units are within walking distance of the rock pools which are particularly beautiful. I would definitely recommend staying at Milorho Lodge and then seeing the rock pools.
Great breakaway from the business of the city.
Milorho Lodge has thought of every need you may have away from home. The cottages are clean and comfortable. Our group stayed in Wild Olive, Red Ivory, and Boekenhout. Wild Olive and Red Ivory have an interleading door if you are a bigger family wanting to stay, but equally private if it's two separate groups. Boekenhout was a short walk away from the other two cottages, a two-sleeper that is also fully equipped for your stay. The owners came to introduce themselves and had upgraded us to a more pleasant stay. Milhoro Lodge is also building Africamp sites, and we were able to take a look at the site, and the standard is high! The views are great, and our next stay will have to be in one of those tents! Opening July 2024!
Sublime, tranquility, is all I can say. The place is just out of this world. The hiking was my highlight.
An altogether perfect weekend away. The cottage has everything you need, and the setting is excellent - you can chill outside on the stoep surrounded by trees and birds, and just shut off entirely. The bedrooms are big and have every luxury required. The cottage is quiet and private, and for hikers, the farm offers a lovely 10km walk down ravines and over hills with expansive views. Highly recommended. Very well priced, too!
Milorho is definitely going to become one of my top lodges to go camping or hiking at! Ian and Renee are absolutely professional and friendly, making your stay at their lodge a memorable one! And the sculpture park. I died and went to heaven!
Our third time there and we will go back again and again.
We truly enjoyed the stay. The scenery is beautiful. Value for money.
Very well furnished.
We had a nice stay. We had a nice walk on the short hiking trail. We had fun swimming in the pools, definitely a plus for Milorho as a destination. The sculpture park is beautiful. It is nice and quiet. Striking are the many butterflies everywhere in the field, and the few insects and other crawling animals in the house. No snakes or scorpions or other biting and stinging animals encountered. Bird sounds were beautiful, from pigeons to pheasants and many other feathered friends unknown to me.
Fantastic in every way. Very private. No cleaners to bother you, but if you ask for help it is immediately there! Accommodation is very neat and units are equipped with everything you need. Surroundings are panoramically beautiful and hiking trails easy and well marked. Swimming in mountain pools is unforgettable.
For those who enjoy nature, it is a perfect place to go hiking and enjoy natural rock pools. The chalets are located close to the rock pools, and since it was an extremely hot weekend, we spent most of our time there.
Peaceful campsite in nature. Ideal place for hikers and nature lovers.
The service was very good and would recommend again anytime.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Milorho Lodge is definitely back on our to-do list.
Very neat, friendly service. Beautiful scenery. Place where you can find your soul again.
There is really nothing out of place or anything to complain about. The absence of music and noise is the attraction for us so that you can take in the tranquility of nature and nightlife while you can relax around the campfire. The Walking Route is among our favorite top 3 in the Magalies area.
The cottage is very comfortably furnished with everything you need. It is very quiet and peaceful and the hiking trails are well marked. A swim in the rock pools is a must!
Well equipped chalet. All that one needs. Nice and private. Very good bed and linen. Nice weekend getaway for rest for soul. Equipped with everything needed. Very neat.
Very nice stay, place was very tidy and we really enjoyed the walk in the forest, would recommend it to people who want to get away and go for a walk.
There is a canopy built on the porch which makes it much more convenient. Also an area that brings tranquility and privacy.
It will be nice to have a concrete road.
We really enjoyed the silence and scenery.
Highly recommend. There is plenty of activities to keep young children entertained. Hiking, rock pools, private garden, braai area and perfect picnic spots. Truly an amazing experience. Value for money, look forward to returning. The accommodation itself was clean and very inviting and the finishings of the entire cottage were well appreciated. UPS to keep the lights on, emergency lights available as well as gas stove and oven. Truly the perfect getaway destination.
Beautiful scenery, comfy accommodation.
We really enjoyed our break and the hiking trails are very clearly marked and the Boekenhout cottage we stayed in was so beautiful and clean. We will definitely go back again.
My husband and I stayed at the campsite and did the 12 km hike on Saturday. It was breathtaking. The routes are well laid out and marked, the ablution facilities are neat, large and clean. The campsites are beautiful and scenic with enough trees and shade to give you privacy. Will come again anytime.
My wife and I spent Easter 2022 weekend at Milorho Lodge, the cottage was fantastic, clean, spacious and fully equipped. Due to the weather we were not able to do the trails but we did visit the rock pools, so peaceful and beautiful. The owners Iain and Rene were great with a visit from Iain to ensure we had arrived safely and made sure we were happy. We will definitely be back to do the trails. Regards Rob and Belinda.
Lots of tranquility to enjoy nature.
We really enjoyed the walking route and specifically went camping to do the walking route.
The nature around the cottages is beautiful and the walking paths very beautiful. There are pools and waterfalls that are truly special. The house is beautiful, very clean and well equipped, the beds were good. I will definitely come back. We had a wonderful rest.
Highly recommended for all ages.
Boekenhout was good for us.
The perfect place to breathe again. The natural beauty that surrounds you is picture perfect. Boekenhout Cottage is spacious, tidy and conveniently located with the rock pools within walking distance. The large fireplace was great for a cozy atmosphere. We were able to fully relax and appreciated that there is limited cell phone reception and no TV. The showroom has beautiful and unique wooden furniture. Many thanks to Renee and Iain for the unforgettable few days at Milorho Lodge.
The cottage is spacious and tidy with good bed linen and everything you need for self-catering. We had a great barbecue on the deck, played board games and relaxed. The rock pools are beautiful and close by.
Wonderful surroundings and great facilities - the photos on the website don't really do it justice, it's much prettier in 'real life'. The camp sites are a good size and well appointed. The waterfall and pools were gorgeous. We had a lovely camping holiday all round.
Value for money. Rest for the soul. Football was perfect. Just sorry about no signal and data collection.
The rate is excessively high. The apartment is inadequate inside with no TV either. The cottage is very small and has no privacy either.
Nice Russel Hobbs coffee machine!

Thank you Anri! You are a star!
We booked the Kiaat Kothuis for a weekend break, and we were very impressed with the place. We didn't miss anything and could really enjoy the silence around the house. We even went to enjoy the rock pools next to the houses and it was an experience. On Saturday we tackled the Bruin hiking trail and really enjoyed it. It is very beautiful there! We couldn't have asked for a better getaway for our wedding anniversary, and would definitely recommend Milorho Lodge. We'll be back soon!
Wish we could stay longer. Exceeded our expectations. Clean, tidy and small details for your comfort. Picturesque nature.
The place is beautiful, surrounded by just nature. Their natural pools are amazing. Just a few things though. The area is meant for peace and quiet but the telephone network is very poor and time to time you need to make call to check on the kids and family at home. The other is they do not have TV and we like to follow the news. It was a little bit of a disappointment.
It was delicious in the silence. Even the teenagers enjoyed being outside without cell phones. The mountain streams to swim in, the hiking trails and the view are incredible. We were even treated to fresh fruit from the trees. For someone looking for family time, this is just the place.
If you want to escape to a perfect place visit Milhoro Lodge. Beautiful rockpools and waterfalls behind our cottage and also on our hike. The hike was amazing, the nature is spectacular. Cottage was super clean. We enjoyed the peace and quite and will definitely visit again.
Walking routes are very lovely and well laid out. Lodge was very clean, tidy and well stocked with kitchen appliances. Had a very nice time.
If you just want to relax this is the place. The rock pools are very beautiful.
Camp facilities were fantastic and very tidy. beautiful view from the top of the mountain and wonderful walking and cycling routes
We enjoyed the hike and camping and even slid down the rapids. All our belongings were safe there while we went for a walk. The bathrooms are clean with wall plugs included. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the women's bathroom, but there was in the men's. We will still return anytime if the opportunity arises.
See stars.
We appreciate the cleanliness of the unit, the staff was kind and accommodating. Please find the rock pool guys and connect with nature, whoever will visit the lodge. It is lamentable that nobody these days lives on Earth, we all live in our small little world (Facebook, internet,). Also if you will do the longer 12 km trail go early and take enough water. Peace and love!
The good: The camp is well located. Not too far from the city. The area in the Magaliesburg is beautiful and the hike has lots of rock pools along the way. The renovated ablution block is a joy to use. The bad: The Magaliesburg is hot, very hot in the summer. There are not many big trees where you can camp or pull your car under. It is in the bushveld. I recommend you bring a Gazebo.
The cottage was beautiful and spacious. You relax as soon as you drive through Milorho's gates and the water pools rock pools were a favor.
Private, clean and beautiful area. Would definitely go back again.
The most wonderful mountain stream flowing through, with rock pools to swim in. Clean facilities that make you feel at home.
We enjoyed the water pools the most and the tranquility. Would love to go again to do the hikes.
Wonderful, clean cottages. Well equipped in a breathtaking, beautiful environment.
An amazing place to stay. The peace and quiet lets you find yourself again. The premises and the chalet were well kept. We will go back again.
The location, bird life, rock pools, hiking were very good. Breathtaking. Silence was a winner. Fireplace a winner. We will visit them again. Thank you.
The fact that there was no TV and no noise caused a lot of rest for us. The cottage, Kiaat, was very neat and clean. Everything has clearly been chosen with great care. Will definitely recommend it to others.
Helpful owners. Everything that makes your stay enjoyable. Full marks for Miloho Lodge. It was very enjoyable to stay there, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sorry it rained and couldn't explore the hiking trails and swim in the beautiful pools. Close to all amenities, namely, hotel 3 km, Waterfall Mall 27 km, bars and eateries. You don't have to go away to relax, there is plenty to keep you busy and enjoy life. Thank you Renee and husband, you are fantastic. Keep it up.
I had a great time, even our children enjoyed the place.
We were disappointed that our 6 bed unit was not detached. We could hear our neighbors talking and the information listed during our discussion created a different impression. However, there are nice rock pools to swim in and nice hiking trails.
It was a lovely and peaceful time! Everything was nice and clean and really value for money. Thank you very much!
Being able to get away from the city's hustle and bustle really exists! Milhoro Lodge confirmed it!
Nice fireplace evenings and tranquility recharge the batteries - food for the soul. It was so nice and quiet with the most beautiful view. The hiking trail and rock pools are picturesque. We will definitely come back again soon.
Beautiful scenery. Professional walking route with clear directions and informative information. Very neat and clean! A must see! Thank you, we had a great time and rested.
Breathtaking, a window to spiritual world. The lodge is surrounded by the beauty of mountains and trees. My kids enjoyed the peace and tranquillity surrounding us.
Nicely rested. Beautiful surroundings and well equipped accommodation. Not many people. Great recipe to rest!
Lovely hike trail, clean units although short on certain utensils i.e. broom, pots and pans, bath mats etc.
