We had a very nice stay. It is a very nice lodge and our rooms by the kitchen area made it nice and spacious. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. The location of the lodge is also very central.

Only spent one night. Friendly, helpful staff. . On arrival we were lead to our room by a staff member. He described our destination room as one of the luxury suites. It was a large suite on the first floor up quite a steep steel stairway. Two bedrooms. Kingsize bed in main bedroom (bed just a bit too big for bedroom size) and two single beds in 2nd bedroom. Used the main bedroom. No bedside pedestals. A bit cramped. Good kitchen, which we were not going to use for preparing any food. Crockery and cutlery etc for just two people. Large lounge with big leather couch. Two art deco armchairsn that have seen better days. The seats need redoing. Small TV for size of the room. Had to ask for help to get TV going. We not familiar with 'live streaming TV package' and how one sets it up. All ok eventually. No carpets or mats on the floor. Adequate for our short stay, but calling it luxury misuses the word.

I would definitely stay here again. The suite had the most beautiful view and the lodge had thought of everything - from lighters for candles to Nespresso pods and a bottle of muscadel for after dinner. The food at the restaurant was also fantastic and it is clearly a very popular place to eat.

I would definitely recommend Mimosa Lodge to anyone, whether you a single traveler or with children. The room was lovely and inviting. Everything was neat and clean. The breakfast served the next morning was quality. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
We should have realized in advance that this would be a bad experience as it was the only place in Montagu that had more than enough availability. The staff we received were friendly and helpful and that's the most positive of our experience. The only dinner available is a set menu at R450 pp with NO choices for starter, main course etc. Breakfast is not served until 08:00 and if you are in Montagu for business or schedule that starts before 08:00, breakfast is a thing of the past. Then walking in at 07:40 (after we arranged it at check-in) is the biggest inconvenience ever. You are told very quickly (without being greeted) that breakfast is not yet available and the rest is just boring so poor it is. Customer service is definitely not something that is on their top 10 list. Furthermore, they are far far far far far far more expensive than the other (better) places in Montagu. The rest of our group who stayed in various other places paid half with much nicer rooms and better service.
The dinner was top notch and the accommodation fantastic. In any case, Montagu is worth a visit that no one should miss.
For more than R700 p.p. expect an air conditioner in the hottest room on the premises as well as a TV in the room. There is a TV room for all guests with only four seats. The room was not cleaned.
Beautiful lodge in the heart of Montagu. Excellent service from staff that really made they weekend extra special. Rooms are spacious and set in gorgeous gardens. The 4 course meal and wine pairing comes highly recommended.

A nice place to stay when in Montagu.
Mimosa is ideally situated in Montague close to all restaurants and scenery. We were very impressed with the room, breakfast as well as the friendly staff and would certainly go back again. It is very recommendable.

I really enjoyed our stay at Mimosa Lodge, the service was great! We had a private room away from everyone, and it was airy, yet cosy. I enjoyed the outside bath, as I have never bathed under the stars. Although it was cold we still made use of it, and it was quite an experience. The people are kind and friendly, and they ensured that the room was nice and warm. The breakfast was 5 stars - thumbs up to all! I would definitely recommend staying at Mimosa lodge. The dinner was a bit expensive so we did not dine at Mimosa. Everything else was great, thank you!

We arrived early the staff were most helpful and friendly.The lodge is well situated and we found a fabulous restaurant right next door where we had a meal.The breakfast was lovely and we would definately recommend Mimosa Lodge as a place to stay whilst exploring the area.

The Mimosa Lodge is a lovely lodge to visit for the weekend. It has all the basic amenities one will need for a comfortable, relaxed weekend away with your partner. It is not the most glamorous of establishments, but its simple decor is complimented by the beautiful gardens and quiet location.
