It was a fantastic break and the sea view is absolutely stunning. The room was well equipped and the bed was heavenly. The unit has everything one needs. The animal life, monkeys and peacocks, and the wildlife was a bonus.
It was very nice. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was really good. I just found the tent could have more in it, especially if you want to braai. There were no utensils for that at all, as well as plates, knives, and forks. The WiFi hardly worked as well.
Very friendly welcome. The road from the N2 is unfortunately bad.

The rooms are stunning and luxurious. The staff are friendly and trained. The food was excellent and offers value for money. Just feel like they can put cutlery and glasses in the room if you want to braai yourself. But will definitely go back and recommend this place.
Not four star at all. Flies are everywhere. No fish in ponds. Bikes are serviced and we can't be helped with that, brown water, weak weak.
Very happy with my choice of Misty Mountain as destination! Our children's biggest excitement were the peacocks. Meals are very good. Service excellent! Beds were a bit too hard.
It was a very nice stay. Very friendly people, very nice and clean lodge (for 4 people) with a lot of equipment to cook for yourself and a nice shower. Perfect and not expensive!
The location is beautiful, people are friendly but their knowledge of the menu and hiking trails are lacking. The houses only have showers and small children need a bath. The shower drains slowly and you have to stand in the water and shower. Food is absolutely delicious but they take too long to prepare it. On the photos it shows beautiful walking trails but they say there are none. Otherwise it was a good experience and I would like to go there again.
Beautiful place. Beautiful view. A bit 'under staffed' at times, then the service in the restaurant is not that good, but it's not the staff's fault. We had a terrible fly infestation in the 'rustic farm cottages' where we stayed. The cottages are right next to a cow farm. It's inhumane. They really need to do something about it. On the last night we were moved to another cottage which was a bit better. I regret that we did not book in the "log cabins". It is difficult to distinguish on the web page which accommodation is which. Maybe they should put up more pictures of the 'rustic farm cottages'. They heavily advertise the "log cabins", which look very nice and don't have so many flies.
The view was beautiful and it's the ideal place to rest. Although the cabin looks like 4-star, the Country Cottage was certainly not 4-star. It has a nice farm atmosphere, but the flies were overwhelming. The water was also brown and the toilet did not work. But otherwise it was a lovely, peaceful holiday. Beautiful surroundings and sea view. Was disappointed when I found out the nearest beach was 40 km away.
Such an impressive location with very friendly staff makes the very bad road to get there a little better. The food was excellent and tasty but not value for money. The rooms are neat and clean, but very basic. The lack of basic maintenance shocked me and made my stay unpleasant. The shower that drips through the night is disturbingly over. The mattress was in poor condition which I cannot accept for the money it costs. The staff is very friendly but poorly trained. They couldn't trace our deposit payment and wanted to double charge us. I see a lot of potential for the place but a good renovation is needed.
Fantastic location and view of the sea - and conveniently close to a variety of tourist attractions. Friendly staff (especially Jasmine). But the accommodation was disappointing. The pool doesn't look like LekkeSlaap at all. The lodge is comfortable but not luxurious and definitely needs maintenance.
Excellent accommodation option.
The view from our unit was spectacular and we really enjoyed the unit as a whole. Also not too far from the Tsitsikamma village where we spent quite a bit of time. I recommend them highly, but future guests must note that the gravel road to reach them is a bit of a negative. The only other issue is my wife did not enjoy the raised bed area - and actually fell and hurt her ankle quite badly.
Had a great stay here for two nights - service is excellent, as is the food - top notch.
We were immediately greeted at reception with something to drink and shown where our chalet is and explained how everything works. It was a very nice atmosphere that the staff created and a nice house in which we stayed. Will definitely go there again.
Every possible need was met, and with a smile. Definitely hope to go back for a longer stay, soon.

It was a fantastic getaway with my husband, very relaxing and we had an amazing time. We got to unwind and enjoy the scenery. The chalets were perfect, all the amenities were available, and it was warm and enjoyable. I will definitely stay there again.
Everything was beautiful / neat and clean. I feel that R300 for the barbecue option is a bit expensive for what you get.
From arrival to our departure the service was very good. The units are very well planned and laid out. The view is fantastic (and the peacocks a plus). Will definitely want to go again.

Beautiful views and spacious family unit. Definitely not a luxury cottage as indicated - unfortunately I was expecting much more. The linen was old, curtains torn and the fridge wasn't working properly. The drains didn't drain properly. The restaurant is convenient as it is far away from everything- you have to drive down a dirt road to get to the village. Plain,home cooked meals - very friendly waitress. Unfortunately you get the impression that every cent gets turned around for the lodge to survive. Minimal maintenance, lots of potential!

I don't know how to descripe Misty Mountain Reserve in words. It was absolutely fantastic. I would go back anytime. The staff is excelent. My husband and myself never felt so close since our wedding like we did at Misty Mountain Reserve.
