Our stay was amazing! If only you can improve on the menu options. Everything else was great.
Quiet, activities are nice, but think more information could be given about things in the area. Would like to know more for mountain bike trail and especially permission for off-road motorcycle trails.
Upon our arrival, we were received very kindly and immediately felt at home, nice and quiet and clean. The view was very beautiful, just what one needs from city life. We would advise anyone to visit Misty Mountain and just relax.
We had a pleasant stay; however, just the following small concerns. * Our room was extremely cold inside irrespective of the fireplace being lit. It seems this unit does not get a lot of sun in the daytime. * Being a serviced establishment, one would expect a bit more variety in terms of what is available, i.e. menu offering on the thin side. No shop to buy things. * Menu prices are rather high as well. * We would have preferred a TV in the room. * We would have preferred WiFi in the room.

The farmhouse is wonderfully large and tidy, with a lovely braai area outside on the porch, under the roof. Rooms spacious. Place was very neat and clean. No problem during load shedding, with generator powering the entire Misty Mountain.

We especially enjoyed the view of the mountains from our balcony. Our chalet was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Rejoice and Sophie can be mentioned. The food was top notch. Claytos, the chef, knows his story.
The rooms must have a TV, a stay without a TV is boring, please arrange a TV.
We were staying at the farmhouse, the braai area was extremely dark, there were no lights whilst braaiing. This was not related to loadshedding, there is no light at all. The wifi was very slow. The lounge had a very bad smell.
Rained all weekend, was just calm. Wifi reception is dismal. Feel free to pay attention to that. Wood and flash that was given was very nice.
Not a place for a stop with teenagers. The wifi is not available in the rooms and there is no TV. The road behind the lodge is very busy and you hear trucks and cars all the time until very late at night. We had to ask a few times to be helped in the restaurant and were then summarily ignored. Food was nice though and there is a good variety for the small restaurant. What was good is that they have generators that help during loadshedding.
Very good service and enjoyed the breakfast. We participated in all the activities (recommended) and did the early sessions (9am), which were quieter.

Friendly staff, beautiful lodge, breathtaking view. Food from the upper seats. We can't complain about anything, warm blankets on our beds were a nice treat. We have small children who run and play and are sometimes a bit noisy, but the staff embraced them and made them feel just as comfortable as we did. I highly recommend staying here. Nice play area for the kids too.
Very nice place with very nice view. The restaurant prepared delicious food. Every day Misty Mountain brought us wood to burn in the fireplace. I will definitely go there again. People are very hospitable and friendly.
The rooms are well equipped with a beautiful view of the valley. There is a hiking trail that takes you to the woods and waterfall. We will go back there again anytime.

Friendly and competent hosts. As self-catering I expected the kitchenette to be fitted with a stove plate for some cooking.
Drainage system was not good. Found waste in the shower. That must be fixed, otherwise my stay was very pleasant.

Only problem was the location, it's located a bit far from everything in terms of attractions and the signal wasn't great either. We were group of 10 in the farmhouse. Well equipped, spacious and nice fireplace with wood every day. Lovely restaurant with outside seating option. Close to Sabie, Graskop and Pilgrimsrus for day trips.
We went there in winter so landscape was dry but yet so beautiful. The fireplace in the room was cosy and restocked every morning. I would recommend it to anyone for a weekend break or an extensive holiday this is perfect.
We stayed four nights at Misty Mountain. Our family cottage was very nicely clean and comfortably furnished. There were electric blankets on the beds which helped a lot against the cold nights. Every day they provided us with enough wood to make a fireplace to warm our little house in the evenings. The breakfast each morning was of high quality and very well prepared. We got incredibly good service from Misty Mountain's people. We will definitely stay there again.

Everything from the food to the service was fantastic, the rooms are comfortable with everything you need. The only major draw back is the fact that there is no cell signal as well as the WiFi ─ it's very bad!

Definitely worth the expense! Rooms are clean and tidy with an amazing view, and staff are very friendly as well! Ideally located on the Long Tom pass so you are only a few minutes away from all the sight seeing spots... and Sabie Brewery of course! Just remember to check if you have a breakfast included package, as we only found out on the last day... But we enjoyed our stay very much!

It really is a beautiful place to visit. I would recommend that more attention should be given to the premises, it feels a bit abandoned and neglected when it comes to renovations. The furniture under the lapa'tjie at the play area is outdated, the lapa is surrounded by bushes, etc. Furthermore, it is a beautiful place with the most beautiful views!

Misty Mountain is beautifully situated. The restaurant adapted their menu especially for us and the food was delicious. The room was spacious and the fireplace was a great treat on a cold evening. The hotel is close to many of the attractions in the area and also offers great adventure activities itself.
After 2 emails to confirm the date change, we arrive at Misty Mountain. According to them, we were not booked at all. After I show them the email that I changed the date, they still don't know anything. No one told us breakfast was included. So I pay a huge price for self-catering, but actually for breakfast too, of which none of the 6 of us ate. I will never go back.

Very hospitable welcome. Chalets spotless and very tidy. Romantic atmosphere with lovely cozy fireplace. Breathtaking view. Became quiet in God's presence, realizing once again how insignificant a person is. Breakfast and meals of the best quality with friendly, hospitable service. Highlight of course the "Toboggan Run". Definitely worth it... if you have a very strong heart. Mine still lost between one and one point seven kilos. Somewhere on the track. Summed up in one: Fantastic!
Terribly nice getaway, very romantic - and delicious food.
We had a great time relaxing and recommend it to couples who want to rediscover the romance in their relationship. Not really suitable for children.
Was a nice break, would probably just have to choose which one of the cottages we wanted as we got one of the back ones where the view was slightly obstructed by another house. But a relaxing weekend.

It was misty for 99% of our 4 days there. We had one morning of sunshine to see the beautiful view. Units were neat, didn't have everything for self-catering and had to request it at reception: toaster and 2-plate stove. They quickly brought it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The floor of the unit wasn't cleaned everyday and we had to request it. My request that the doors be cleaned didn't happen. Fillet steak were the softest steak that I have ever had.

Beautiful view, nice fireplace, very bad service at the bar. Many guests at the bar and the pool had to look for the lady for some service, maybe because she also works in the restaurant? Otherwise nice.
The weather is very comfortable for December months. Not as hot as Gauteng or Hazyview. We stayed here for 3 nights over the New Year period. The food is delicious, good value for money and they offer a good variety. The rooms are close to each other and this allows the neighbors to be very close, especially if they talk loudly and hang out. The Quad Bikes are disturbing and ride back and forth past the rooms all day.
Self catering does not involve a microwave and a broken braai. More attention to customers' needs can be done. Fridge is a small bar fridge with virtually no freezing space. Beautiful, well kept grounds. Quite a distance from Sabie town.

Nice stop on the way to the wildlife park, between Johannesburg and Phalaborwa entrance to Kruger Wildlife Park. Misty Mountain lived up to its name! The best time of my life!
Friendly, great location, great food and nice shower! We would have liked a stronger heater in the upstairs room.
The unit we ended up in was for two people, I tried to book a four bed unit for a little extra space, and was only informed that the resort had room for us, but not if I got what I asked for do not have. These units are among the many buses that visit the resort, and their movement sooner or later disturbs the peace.
Our reservation was for the family unit, but when we got there they put us in a studio unit which was much smaller. At least we were able to move to a family unit for the second night.
The residential units are comfortably furnished with a beautiful view. The play area was a bit neglected and the living unit's carpets, floor and shower were dirty. The door did not close completely; it let in a very cold wind. The customer service could improve; there was e.g. no one at reception or bar area.
The place is beautiful, tasty food and very helpful staff. I would definitely go back with my kids.
