My accommodation was spacious with separate room and dining and living room, large fridge and everything to cook dinner with. The shrub hedge hides the view a bit, but is nice and private with the option to grill inside and outside.
I enjoyed the silence and view at this cute place to stay. The WiFi also works great. I will come back again.

Accommodation is on a farm just outside the town. Self-catering facilities available. Only 6 km from the town with restaurants etc.
The couches were very uncomfortable. Our legs were pins and needles and we had back spasms. The bed is a few new mattresses behind. The toilet paper couldn't be more cheap and bad quality. The cutlery may cost 50c a piece. Very poor quality. The fridge was not cold, but the freezer was working fine. The television hangs askew on the wall. I could go on. We left 2 days before our booking ended purely because it was not at all comfortable. No, we won't visit there again. It does not help that the guesthouse looks pretty on the internet and then it is such a disappointment.
We had no complaints. Adri was friendly and helpful and the place was really nice. Beautiful view with the mountains, proteas and trees.
We spent the night comfortably and enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast. Thank you very much for your hospitality. Would recommend you anytime and book again myself.

Excellent customer service. I had to make arrangements for late checking in and I was assisted without any hassles. The rooms are clean and very neat. There were extra blankets as well which helped as it was a bit chilly that evening. The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
The warm water was a bit of a problem, but overall it was a nice place at a good price. Will definitely stay there again.
Only 1 recommendation I would make to Misty Mountains is to change the mattresses on the beds. Mattresses are very soft and full of springs, but apart from that the service, cleanliness, hospitality and location are fantastic.

Ons is in die gietende reën met die mees verwelkomende glimlag ontvang, wat ons dadelik laat tuis voel het. Die kamers is netjies, goed opgehou en in standgehou en baie ruim en 'n wonderlike konsep (om in 'n stal te slaap) met alles wat mens nodig het. Wat nie in die kamers is nie, is in die kombuis en niks is te veel vir die gasheer nie. Na 'n dag se werk in modderige kondisies was selfs ons skoene wat buite gestaan het om droog te raak skoon gemaak sonder dat ons gevra het. Ek sal die instansie aanbeveel vir selfs die moeilikste gaste. Ons het veilig en gemaklik gevoel en sal defnitief terug gaan. Een van ons gunstelinge sover.

We had a lovely stay. We were kindly greeted upon our arrival and were shown to our room. The room itself was spacious and neatly laid out. We will certainly stay there again when we go to Louis Trichardt.

Beautiful accommodation and setting, as well as the friendliest hosts who have taken great care in providing beautiful and comfortable rooms. We were blown away. I will always stay here when I'm in the Makhado area.
The experience was mostly very positive, no problems encountered. The only negative was that there was no cell phone reception, although I can imagine that some people could see this as a positive, this was a business trip and the fact that I had no internet connection was a problem. There is WiFi but it was of no help.
Adri is truly a wonderful hostess! Even though we booked a specific room she allowed us to choose where we would like to stay once we could see the "real deal". She was not in our way at all and we felt very safe on the farm. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Love the space outside and that there is so much confidence.

We were very well received in the beautiful Soutpansberge - it was wonderful!
There are little seats everywhere where one can enjoy this view, while sugar beaks are busy in the native plants. Inside, the cottage is particularly well equipped and the space is used excellently. Everything worked well, and we had everything we needed for a few days of self-catering. In addition, Misty Mountains is very well located to explore the entire Soutpansberg. One should only be aware of one thing if you are sensitive to road noise: ask Adri to put you in the section that is away from the road. However, the road is some distance away and will not bother most people at all.
We stayed two nights and found the accommodation to be good and meet all our needs. The accommodation was clean and tidy. It was quiet and peaceful. And our hostess was friendly and helpful. Good accommodation for visits in the area or further travel.
