Nestled beneath the majestic Drakensberg mountains lies Moholoholo Forest Camp, an intimate lodge situated amongst Africa’s huge quinine trees and home to a variety of bird and animal species. The Forest Camp and the world renowned Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre are set on the same property of roughly 420-hectares and an all inclusive visit to the Centre is an experience of a lifetime.

The Forest Camp offers guests an intimate bush experience. The lodge consists of 10 luxury chalets overlooking the quinine forest, all with en-suite bath and shower facilities and tea- and coffee- making facilities. There is 1 family unit which can accommodate 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, and 9 two-sleeper units.

Guests stay includes breakfast and dinner, as well as a visit to the world-renowned Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Times are either 09h30 or 15h00, closed on Sundays. The 2 hour tour at the centre will not only leave guests with a better understanding of the conservation issues facing South Africa but also with lasting memories of all the resident creatures. Additional activities offered at the camp are Game Drives and Bushwalks at an additional charge.

The Forest Camp provides a unique opportunity to experience both forest and savannah wildlife, and is also a bird lovers paradise. The peace and tranquillity of the lodge will appeal to those who wish to escape the city noise and soak up the true African bush. The regular visits from vervet monkeys, baboons and the rare samango monkey will keep the whole family entertained. Nightly visits from the bush pig family, bush baby’s and owls will give guests a true taste of the nightlife.
