Well located, secure parking.
We had a great stay, the rooms were wonderfully cool, even though there is no air conditioning. There is a fan though. The breakfast was really delicious and there is good service.
My stay at Makoya was phenomenal. Staff members, Karabo and Yusuf, made it extra special. They were always willing to listen to our needs and went the extra mile in suggesting some of the activities we participate in. The meals prepped by the restaurant were also great. While there is no TV, if you're looking for some down time, this is definitely the place to go to. The place is good for long stays too. My 10 year-old daughter enjoyed some time off with her mother and was never bored. Will definitely be going back there again. Kudos to you Raymond and your family for a lovely and warm place.

A wonderful quiet place between the mountains where you can just break away, relax in nature for a weekend. The service and staff are great and they go out of their way for a person. The units are also very nice clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend the restaurant as well, the food is great.
Swimming pool loungers broken and uncomfortable and dirty. We kept being told we cannot have ice as they have run out. This was frustrating. and drinks from fridges were warm. No sweetener and myself and my son can only drink sweetener and not sugar. The menu for dinner consists of the same 4 meals for all 3 nights we were there. No verity. It was tasty but we needed to go to a different establishment to have something else to eat. No kids meals at all available. They needed to order from the main menu and the meals are not something kids really eat. Safety is a concern as anyone can enter very easily. It made me feel uneasy the whole stay. I am very safety conscious. Joseph and Washington were very friendly and tried their best to make us happy. They are amazing guys.

The service was great, we had a wedding that started at 3 o'clock and wanted to check in earlier because we were driving early. They had no problem letting us check in earlier at all. The rooms were so neat and clean. The shower water was not nice at all, but that's okay. The breakfast the next day was delicious, the service excellent. We will definitely visit again and stay a little longer next time.

The service from the staff was always helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and tidy. The restaurant's food was well prepared and the menu had enough choices. Please note from the photos it is not clear that the accommodation is spread over several buildings, which certainly made for more privacy than we expected.

From booking to check-out it was a very pleasant experience working with Mokoya's staff. They are incredibly helpful and friendly, and made us feel right at home. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and we also enjoyed their hiking trail. It's easy enough for the whole family to hike together. It is also clear that the premises are well looked after.
Was there for a wedding just slept there and out early the next morning. Was there too short to tell anything.

Very nice. Please just make sure that the plumbing in the rooms is up to standard because room 11's shower head was a little flimsy and blocked the drain, but we had a nice time.

We enjoyed the stay for the weekend. The rooms are just incredibly hot and there is no air con. The shower leaks water so the whole bathroom is full of water when you have finished showering. The toilet does not flush properly, parking is too far from your chalet or room.
Olivia and Peter are a wonderful host and wife and they take pride in their work. The lodge's gardens are poorly maintained. Play frames and area for children - neglected! One realizes that there is a water shortage, but fellow lodges still maintain their gardens. The first room allocated to us is a brick width from the restaurant (the "back room") No view. Very simple. Peter moved us to room 13, tidy but not at all the standard you would expect for R1500 a night with breakfast included. Our room overlooks current construction - temporary, but a pity. Limited menu (no prices listed), but of high quality. The lap rest area not efficiently furnished for guests to sit quietly and enjoy the outdoors and view - neglected. It was our 12 year wedding anniversary as mentioned to Hayley - unfortunately our expectations were not met.
We really enjoyed our stay although short and must compliment the staff on their friendliness and assistance given. Room 19 where we stayed in, was lovely and the food of a very high quality. Once again thank you and we will definitely visit again.

The food is excellent. The accommodation is 3 stars but the restaurant deserves much more credit. The service is also fantastic.
