Lovely place to stay in, it's in a very quiet and peaceful location. The hosts are beyond amazing and very considerate. They even drove us to where our transport was going to pick us up.

Tomorrow. I'm not impressed at all! The bathroom was not en-suite as advertised and was far from the room. I couldn't bathe at all because there was no hot water in the bath. I had to wash at the sink where a very thin stream of hot water could come out. It was very inconvenient!

My daughter and I stayed at Molenhof Gastehuis. It is close to the NWU which was perfect for us. The room was particularly neat and comfortable. Everything you need to just stay the night or even make your own food. The bathroom was very comfortable with enough space and very clean. The hostess received us so kindly and it felt like I was at home in my mother's house. I would highly recommend it whether for 1 night or even longer. We will definitely spend the night there every time we visit Potchefstroom.

The 4 rooms are behind the house which appears to be unoccupied. It is difficult to drive a large vehicle up the narrow passage, especially if you are looking directly into the sun. There was no one to welcome guests. We stood in front of the gate for 15 minutes before we could reach the lady by phone. How do you get the gate open if there is a power cut?

Having secured accommodation at Molenhof Guest House at a very late stage, I was pleased to be welcomed by the owner, Marina, in a very friendly manner. Nothing was too much trouble for her. I was equally pleased at the quality of the accommodation. All the necessary items were on hand, microwave, air con, TV, fridge with deep freezer, kettle and full set of crockery and utensils. Undercover parking within a secured area and phone operated gate. Altogether superb.

I was very kindly welcomed by Mirina. She is a competent helpful hostess and immediately made me feel at home. Mind you I was in a self-catering unit. The room has everything you need. I booked 2 nights stay in the guest house. You are close to the Puk campus and places to eat. However, there was not as much noise as one would expect at the campus. On Friday night, the town had no water. It was beyond everyone's control.
Friendly service, nice rooms, enough parking. Best of all, the guest house is in the perfect location, down the street from Dinkie and Lavaria and literally walking distance from the dining areas! We slept well!

Because we are more "self-catering" than "guest house" people and didn't really know what to expect, we packed more things than necessary - like crockery and bowls (for a barbecue after Aardklop). We were pleasantly surprised with a fully equipped kitchen and didn't need anything! The only "negative" is the fact that we didn't know where to go in and stood outside waiting for a while, but I'm sure if we had asked ahead of time and tried to find out properly, we would have too have been better informed. There was a problem with the water supply to our room. Marina went out of her way to try and find the cause of the problem and fix it. When there was still a problem, she made her own private bathroom available to us. The water supply wasn't right either, but at least we could bathe and by the next morning the problem was solved. I believe it was a municipal problem. Thank you very much for your effort, Marina, we appreciate it and had a great stay!

Swimming pool is also safely closed for children. (My boy walked on the sail and nothing happened). Excellent service and very friendly staff. We had a crisis and had to forfeit / cancel one of our nights at the last minute. Molenhof was so kind and nice to be able to find someone in our place for that night and said that we therefore did not have to pay for that night and therefore did not lose any money. I can really recommend Molenhof. After a long drive from Pietermaritzburg to Potchefstroom it was lovely to lie down on the bed and everything was calm and quiet. The rooms are wonderfully large and nicely furnished. I will definitely book there again when I have to go back next year.
Affordable accommodation, immediately catches the eye. Molenhof will remain popular because it is cheap, tidy and spacious. I will tell all my friends about it.
