32 guests' feedbackHad a great time. Clean and tidy place. Attention to detail.
Stay was very pleasant in a quiet part of Marloth within walking distance of the river. Accommodation was spacious for the six guests.
Our stay at Mongu was truly magical. It was comfortable, clean and met all our needs. The animals come to the house to eat (you can buy food from the Spar in Marloth Park) and the kudus enjoy oranges. We felt safe and really just had an overall good time.
Lovely, quiet stay with lots of animals visiting often.
The fact that you have power with loadshedding and amazing WiFi is so nice. The place is beautiful. The service of the aunt who receives you is excellent!
All of Marloth's animals visited. Really enjoyed and highly recommend.
Very clean and tidy house. The hostess, Leretia was very helpful and friendly! Many animals in the area, the children could feed them and it was a great experience! A better 'barbeque' would be a good idea, a bit of a struggle to barbeque on a fire pit. Load shedding didn't bother me at all, gas stove and inverter. Lots of space for lots of people.
See stars.
The accommodation was neat and comfortable, all the necessary equipment, including emergency power during power outages, is available which makes the experience carefree.
Mongu is well appointed, clean and tidy. We had a great time.
We were kindly received. Thank you very much. The house was clean and tidy, although it is a dark house, it is a beautiful big house. A shovel at the braai area to scoop out the previous night's ashes would be very, very handy, especially since there is no one who comes to clean the braai area daily. It might be mentioned up front that the toaster is put away as it kicks out power. Then people can just bring their own toaster if they (like us) love toast at breakfast. The air conditioner in the room is definitely too small for the large area it has to cover. The splash pool was handy to cool off in. It is not for swimming, but it helps to cool down in the worst heat. There are a few small things that need attention, but overall it's a beautiful place with a lot of potential. Thank you very much.
Grandson really enjoyed trampoline. Fire pit was very nice. Air conditioners helped a lot, it was very hot outside. Also enjoyed being able to watch world cup rugby. Enjoyed visiting.
Mongu has good location in a quiet area. Liresia was incredibly friendly and helped with everything.
Thank you very much for the friendly reception and help. Should we be in the area again, we will stay there again if there is room.
The house is well equipped, management friendly, bed comfortable and the inverter great with load shedding.
What a privilege to walk into a clean and tidy and spacious home. Neat bedding, curtains and provision made for cold nights. I will return to Mongu again and can really recommend it to anyone.
Will definitely want to book this house again if we come to Wildtuin.
We had everything we needed. The house was awesome, especially with the space. It's peaceful. We have booked for December, because we enjoyed it a lot.
Not a place I would stay at in summer. Lack of outside splash pool and sufficient overhead shade and also lack of air-conditioned bedrooms. Only one bedroom out of four with air-con. Otherwise an awesome stay.
We had a very nice stay, so nice we stayed an extra night. Would still enjoy aircons in other rooms though.
Becomes nogals when in the summer in the evenings. TV was a bonus, very well equipped with everything needed. Very nice stay.
The house was spacious and well equipped. We had everything we needed. It was lovely to see the animals pass through daily: kudu, impala, duiker, warthog and bush babies. We went to the Kruger Park daily too and overall had a good holiday. The house had a clever plan for load shedding/power outages with the inverter that allowed continuous use of fridge, lights and Wi-Fi and load shedding did not bother us at all. I would suggest proper bedding though - the blankets provided including the ones in the cupboard are not enough for winter. The showers have good water pressure, but the hot water seemed to go on and off sporadically.
Really nice house, only the electricity that keeps going off for 2 evenings was a problem.
It was really neat and clean, you understand you are in the forest and there are bugs and dust, but Mongu is clean.
Lots of wildlife coming home and very spacious for a large group. Very nice, highly recommend the place.
Had a great time, the house is very nice and very well equipped, would recommend him anytime.
Well equipped, clean house. Close to the river, but without the disturbance of the traffic.
I would recommend the place anytime. It's nice and spacious and no one is under each other's feet and it's so nice clean and tidy and not even far from the river. The animals were around us the whole time and we felt very safe.
Although we would have gone together as friends, unfortunately my husband and I had to stay at home. I got Covid-19. Friends thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and were very satisfied. We will definitely go again as soon as I am well.
Mongu is located in a very quiet area and close to the popular Seekoeistraat. Mongu is on Mongoose street which is very quiet and not very busy with cars, pedestrians and noise. The house is comfortable, everything that will make your visit worthwhile is there. A lovely big gas stove and hot water as soon as you turn on the hot water taps. The rooms are large and comfortable and have their own bathrooms and a guest toilet on the ground floor. As for the wildlife viewing, we drove to the river 1x, because there was enough wildlife on our porch that came to drop by. Warthogs were there all the time every day asking for something to eat, a herd of moongoose made their appearance at the back door one morning, a herd of kudus of 15 in the group were often at the house to see what was there. dinner, 3 giraffes came to greet us one day on the upper veranda of the master bedroom, zebras and a nyalabul was a big surprise for me. Bushbucks and divers that come to eat from our hands. Herds and herds of roe deer were there every day to see what we put out for them to eat. Just outside the house there is a lovely barbeque area, one night while we were barbecuing a blue wildebeest made its appearance there and entertained us with its presence. We were there 10 days in total and it was too short to do everything we wanted to do because we had such a good time. There are games, books to read and of course the house has Wi-Fi which made it fun for the youngsters because there is a Smart TV and we enjoyed watching stories until late in the evenings. Not once was there load shedding, but I noticed that the house had a solar panel with lights set up for the purpose. Mongu will definitely see us again.
Very nice place, with everything you need, and which makes your holiday easier, e.g. the dishwasher. Just wish there was a pool to cool off in as it was 35 degrees every day.
Quiet weekend in the woods. The house is well equipped with everything you need up to a dishwasher! Would definitely recommend it.
