I want to thank Louis for being an amazing host and being so accommodating to allow us to celebrate my birthday by allowing us to have fun on Friday night around the pool. We were well looked after and I would highly recommend anyone to stay there, the rooms were clean and equipped to keep us warm with it being winter. Louis, you are a great host and we really appreciated your friendly and warm manner. We will definitely come back.

A warm welcome by the host, she stayed super enthusiastic all the time. Arum cottage is small but comfortable, the bathroom is a little outdated. Nice bed linen.
Breakfast was nice and bed was very comfortable. Lou and Denise are pleasant people and like to go the extra mile for their guests. Heaters everywhere were great in the cold, wet weather.

Everything is spotless, but somewhat outdated: place mats, table surfaces and cutlery need upgrading and here and there small renovation work such as a bedside table that is a bit rickety needs to be fixed again. Bedside lamps' energy-saving bulbs last only an hour and then there is no light during loadshedding, except for a single flashlight that should illuminate both bathroom and bedroom. No candles to light. Would have been nice to get a complimentary water, biscuit for with the coffee in the morning. Fridge does have water etc., but at your own expense. The unit appears larger in the photos and is much further from the sea than it appears in the photos. The linen on the bed was spotless, but needed repair in places. The communication before and during reception was excellent, very friendly lady. Breakfast was average, would recommend a snack at food area for mosquitoes and flies. With a little renovation, Mont Fleur could once again receive a 4-star rating from me. We stayed 3 nights, the room was serviced every day.
Parking on the street can lead to vehicle theft or burglary. No WiFi in Rose Cottage.

The staff were friendly and obliging.
We were booked from the 14th of June 2022 to 20th of June 2022. We were kindly received by Lou our host. We were place in the cottage Arum. It appeared neat and clean at first glance. I can only mention that there are many uneven steps on the way from the bottom of the cottage to the reception and main house. The Bed & Breakfast was advertised as a (4) four star facility which was a big disappointment when your bathroom has very little space with a basin so small that you have to brush your teeth and wash your face over the bath. The bed linen and towels were not exchanged for clean ones everyday. From the six-day stay of which a Sunday was included the housekeeping for the day did not take place. No beds were made nor was the bathroom not cleaned. The material over the chair is worn and dirty and there are not enough bins. The TV is not mounted and wires are everywhere on the dresser. The biggest frustration is that you will not have any Wi-Fi coverage in the cottage (we had a partially-working-break-away) and you can only get coverage if you go to the main house. The breakfast is continental only with a choice of cereals, bread, fruit and coffee. Be prepared to park your car on the side walk.
Very nice decor style. Strong WiFi signal. Room privately located. Owner was very hospitable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Owner even offered to take a picture of us in front of the beautiful view on the balcony without us asking. Will definitely come again.

We were at home for 10 days in the Rose cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the stay during that period. The garden is rich in trees and we noticed many bird species daily in the tree in front of the wooden deck. Mont Fleur is very centrally located with top restaurants and several shops within walking distance. Various hiking trails, national parks and many tourist activities are also minutes from the guest house. The cottage is spacious and comfortable and has all the necessary facilities. The Mont Fleur staff immediately made us feel at home and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Mont Fleur can definitely be recommended to any tourist who wants to get to know the wonderful Wilderness area and Garden Route better.
Very good customer service. Thanks Fran! The breakfast was delicious and the room had everything we needed. Just one suggestion: Our room's shower was inside the bath. A bath mat would help a lot, was very afraid of slipping.

Deluxe suite had such grimy bedding that we slept under our beach towels instead on night one. Manager replaced bedding with new for night two. Owners need to invest in upgraded furniture, bathroom renewal and general decor. Holes in carpets.

It's not modern or new, and if you have a problem with stairs, stay away. If you want excellent service, excellent beds and breakfast, and a wonderful view, a warm welcome and comfort that fits your budget - this is the right place.
The location, friendliness of the owners, recommendations for things to do and restaurants were appreciated. The place is clean and a relaxed, laid back setting and the views are beyond amazing. Standard of service is excellent. Breakfast was great. We will definitely book the place in the future and recommend to our family and friends.

We had a great time, it's quiet and peaceful. The rooms are neat, just a bit outdated.
Had a problem with shower head in bath. We couldn't shower because head didn't work. I had to hold it with my hand. I told the owner about problem. He tried to fix it, but it didn't work. For 4 stars, at least I expect to be able to shower. The toilet ring was also loose. I just tightened it myself. I was very disappointed with the owner's attitude. Will never go there again.

It is very centrally located in Wilderness close to several good places to eat and almost within walking distance of the beach. If you have trouble carrying your bags up stairs yourself, Mount Fleur may not be for you.
Owners of Mont Fleuf went the extra mile with booking and advising us on all our excursions, always freshly baked muffins/waffles or biscuits with super duper breakfast. Rooms were immaculate, cosy electric blankets, heaters and fresh linen everyday. Very safe we could leave car and all our belongings without any worries. Close to beach market and restaurants. Will definitely be back

I would not recommend the place for persons who have problems with steep stairs without railings, as the site is on an incline and several (rough) stairs from e.g. the lowest chalet to the main building.
Clean and comfortable, thank you. Only wanted to stay one night en route to the Garden Route bike park for mountain biking. Close enough to attend shows at the KKNK.

Lou and Denise went out of their way to make us feel at home. A fantastic place with the most beautiful view of the sea. Could hear the sea every night. I will definitely stay there again.
Enjoyed the most delicious breakfast, located close to everything and you could hear the sea! Shower in Arum Cottage not made for us big guys, but at least there is a bath too. Persons who may have difficulty walking may find it difficult, as there are quite a few stairs to climb. Otherwise a lovely place to stay. Would heartily recommend it.

My wife and I spent a week at Mont Fleur. From our arrival to the day we left we felt at home and nothing was too big or small for our hosts, Denise and Lou who are two great people with fantastic people skills. From the great breakfasts to the first class service and super views, we can assure anyone that a stay at Mont Fleur will be enjoyed. We were sad to leave but will be back. We were a family of five adults who were well received in every way. The evening meals provided by Louis and Denise were a bonus - excellent cuisine, good wine... and it saved us an after dark trip in the cold weather of that week. Rooms wonderfully heated, hanging out in the lounge after breakfast and before dinner was cozy. If we had more time, we would have loved to stay longer!
